I wanted to see Rumble against Jones more than anything.I won't deny its a huge fight, and it would be amazing if he won. Still, I just can't find myself getting excited for this one.
DC thinks he would be the best ever with a HW win. I think the two loses to Jones, will forever shadow DC's dream. Jon will always be the one he couldn't beat, even if he was DQ'ed.
Such a shame Jones couldn't stay clean, I think he'd do good putting weight on, and trying a shot at heavy weight.

I agree with everything you said. I think the excitement comes from the fact that Stipe may lose to him.You nailed it with Jones and Rumble, that would have been epic.
UFC can push this bought, I just don't know if it earns the hype, and only hope it lives up to it.
People make me laugh when they say Cormier is too small for these 'big guys' in heavyweight, or doesn't stand a chance here. The guy KO'ed Silva and dominated Barnett in the same strikeforce grand prix.
But its both their styles that I feel don't make for an exciting fight. Cormier just has that smothering type of style, and its a hard sell. The Jones fight despite Cormiers style was still amazing, because Jon kept distance and finished with that devastating kick.

He would have a tougher time but he's a super skilled fighter, we just haven't seen his chin tested against a very big puncher.If Jones moved up to heavyweight, he'd be beaten to near death.
