Hey all you trusted terbites.....

I am moving soon, and want to drop Bell, Rogers etc. so the s/o and I are looking into Android.

We will have 2 tvs in the house......so I'm thinking a wireless box for each.

Any advice on equipment or subscription?

Many thanks in advance all!

I have great success with the ITV4A System. There is a guy at the local Samtack warehouse sales that peddles the boxes. There are two models 888 and 905, personally I spent $50 more for the faster processor hence quicker response to the applications. There is no subscription fee.

My experience is as follows:
- make sure you have unlimited Internet as you are streaming video and if you want 720 or 1080p then bandwidth is important
- the preference is to be hardwired to the router as you don't have limitations on transfer speeds, personally I have run wireless and have not run into may problems
- TECH SUPPORT & UPDATES - whomever you go with make sure they provide you updates and patches. All and I mean all of the providers (KODI, ShowBox, Terrarium) go through periodic updates and you need to make sure you keep up the maintenance by updating the programs or you may or may not get the latest movies/shows. ITV4A encourages everyone to sign up to their support line and they will send out emails giving you the latest. Their website is a bit difficult to navigate but generally easy to use and self explanatory. Here is the link to their site: http://www.mmbbtv.com/contact-us/ and here is the example of their updates: http://files.mmbbtv.com/AndroidApps/. I've called their support line and they walked me through the changes.

Good Luck!

If u are look for the best system get Nvidia Shield 2017 model plays everything and every format. All android boxes can do 4k and HD but a lot cant do Netflix 4k or HD which this one can. Interface is super fast better than Apple tv speeds. If you are PC gamer and have newer Nvidia Graphics card you can stream ur pc games to this box. Also if u into download tv shows and movies check out plex/kodi and sonarr. Hope that helps :)

For off-air antenna and equipment check out http://saveandreplay.com
I can highly recommend getting a HDHomerun tuner
which will allow you to view off-air TV on any of your devices... computers, mobiles, TV's, Kodi
Any device running Google apps or Android is basically constantly collecting information about you,
and sending it to third-party data aggregators, who will sell that info.
Linux based devices are much more secure.
The Vero4K box is probably the best in the market.

As stated above Shield 2017 is the best streaming box.
Also you should get informed on how to update and install remove software yourself. No matter what anyone tells you streaming copyright content is illegal. Netflix, Amazon Prime and a few others are legal. Kodi, showbox or whatever fully loaded box guy at flea market is selling are illegal. The boxes themselves aren't, its the act of streaming copyright content that is. Kind of a grey market in Canada.
Kodi add-ons are constantly going down and new ones pop up. Learnt to deal with it yourself. Can be a hassle to always go back to where you got it to update. I been using Kodi for years, since it was called xbmc. Never had issues. But I had to learn to update and remove install add-ons myself.

Good luck

Meh - amazon fire TV stick. $65, shipping in two days. Load downloader app and Kodi on your own. Also google for the direct mirror link to as that is the best version for downloading.

Current Neptune Rising is the big Kodi addon for steaming. A mr.Blamo repo

As stated, google and YouTube will give you everything you need to download, and update any software or add-on.

Never buy a preinstalled box. It won't be worth it.

Amazon does limit the amount of fire tv sticks you can have to two per account
