The test was developed by an Arab Canadian...Shhhhhhhhh

How an immigrant to Canada helped Donald Trump prove his mental state
When the White House released the results of a test on Donald Trump's mental acuity Tuesday, showing he aced it, there was one person out there brimming with pride despite not knowing the president.
That person was Ziad Nasreddine — the man who designed the test.

The Lebanese-Canadian neurologist learned from a reporter Tuesday afternoon that the White House had selected the Montreal Cognitive Assessment to test the president's cognitive faculties, after days of speculation about his state.

James Gunn really nails how the medical report is political rather then accurate.

Trump's medical exam says he's 6'3" and 239 pounds. Albert Pujols is 6'3" and 240 pounds. If the dementia tests are equally accurate, we are doomed.

Check the photos on the link and tell me that they both weigh the same.

Probably the best indicator of dementia for Trump is this analysis that shows is declining vocabulary.

Anyone who believes that doctor was being honest and objective is probably is so full of Repuglican fake news that they are living in an 'alternate truth' reality...sad
Except the doctors(12) who are involved in the examination are all independent. They are not hired by Trump.

Sorry but you are going to have to accept this as legit.

Or don't. But it ends the narrative.

Yes, and Trump is a “4” handicap in golf too. It’s well known that he gives himself 10 footers and mulligans every round, including tournament rounds at his own clubs so his handicap is pure vanity. From his swing and putting stroke (when he actually putts instead of picking up) I’d say he’s a solid 11 at best, which is decent - but no way is he a 4. I’ve no doubt the results of the Montréal Cognitive test are like his golf handicap, the result of mulligans or gimme’s.

Well that's a weak attempt to keep the narrative alive.

The 25th amendment argument is over. Even CNN has decreed this. Sorry but the doctors have killed it.

Maybe so. But Trump is a habitual cheat and has less credibility than any previous Predident. So even though you may think this ends it, it doesn’t really (and I suspect you know this) because his daily behaviour will keep it alive. Unless you can make a stronger case about why people should believe these results anymore than they believe that Trump is a “stable genius” (and calling another post “weak” is hardly an argument) then you have no case.

As I said, I think you know that too, but you continue to shove your Canadian tongue up his ass for some reason. Weird.

Great. So even islamists can say he isnt crazy.
Actually all they can say is that the test shows he has the minimal cognitive function to preclude a diagnosis of dementia or Alzheimer's.

Why anyone would think that justified the gloating that inspired this thread says a lot about the pessimistic opinions they had going in. What a sad comment on American politics that is.

Nah. All the observations of narcissism, lack of concentration, refusal to read, massive ego, bad temper, arrogance and inability to strategize beyond the next tweet or commercial break on Fox News is pretty well attested.

Actually my first choice as Bernie. My last was Clinton. What I want to see is things shaken up.

I'm enjoying alot of people still losing their shit because they were so wrong about the election.

Feel free to impeach Trump. Then you end up with Pence. And a fired up base. And probably more fracturing of both parties.

Not a bad thing. Really it isn't in my opinion.

Cognitive functioning is entirely distinct and different from sane thinking or intelligence, neither of which is assessed by the test.

We note the narrative you mention is only prolonged by trumpeting this irrelevant and minimal measure as an accomplishment, and it was a supporter who opened the thread.

If I cared, I'd say it's the Trumpians have to get over the seeming need to mask their disappointment with empty bragging. This is another non-achievement that would have better passed uncommented.

Considering the press was pushing he was incompetent he ended that didn't he. That's all that matters.

I consider it a sad comment on the media actually.

He is incompetent at the job he holds, and neither are his statements obviously informed or intelligent. Perhaps you were confusing that frequent media evaluation of job performance and thoughtfulness with a statement evaluating his elementary cognitive functioning, such as the MoCA Test. I'd say Presidenting requires functioning on a considerably higher level.

I'll cheer up about the media being wrongly blamed for the facts they report, when you cite any credible source "pushing he was incompetent", which the test we're considering disproves.

OJ as I peeked at my various news apps all of a sudden all references to his mental health have disappeared. Other than one on CNN stating the argument about it is over.

There have been people pushing for usage of the 25th A for A While and demanding an accessment. Well 12 independent doctors who previously examined in some cases both Obama and Bush just declared him fit for office.

So it's over. Maybe you don't like his style. Or policies.

And you can feel free to criticize him based on that.

But not on mental fitness. That narrative is over.
