You can't get away from them.

Something in one of their ads caught my eye, "when you're with us you're part of the family".

If a lawyer told me that I was part of their firms family, I would fire him/her where they stood. Family can fuck you up. I want my lawyer to fight for me like I pit bull, I don't need another family member.

Glad to get that rant off my chest.

If only we could send all lawyers and politicians to a predetermined shithole of the public's choosing
Agreed - although I'd say most lawyers, not all. Definitely a large pool of bloodsuckers though. It's always sad to hear that a family fighting over a $5 million estate goes on for years so the lawyers get paid $4 million out of the 5. You don't want to blame them (as some will advise their clients prior to legal action) but it's just wrong. Then there's the prosecutors who clearly demonstrate that justice is the last thing they are hoping for. It's all about convictions and charging people with the worst crimes so a innocent people get convicted (or plea out when they clearly aren't guilty) and innocent people get off. Can't remember which case it was recently but the Crown went for 2nd degree murder when it was a clear case of manslaughter so the guy walks.

In spite of what's been said, I'm very happy with my support team.

From my GP to my physiotherapist to the paralegal who looked after my affairs while I was in a semi - vegetative state. And most of all to my Cane Corso personal injury lawyer, who followed my directives with second guessing and was totally ruthless to getting the compensation I deserved.

Meet my lawyer, a Cane Corso is not a pet.

I really hate seeing their ads everywhere. Fraudsters. https://www.google.ca/amp/s/www.the...ns/2016/12/03/diamond-diamond-under-fire.html

“Jeremy Diamond is the face of personal injury law. His ads attract thousands of clients, but their files are sometimes referred out for hefty fees — and he has never even tried a case.”

“People hurt in car or other accidents are left with the impression that the 43-year-old Diamond is a top litigator fighting for the little guy.

It turns out that Diamond — described as an “award-winning personal injury lawyer” — has never tried a case himself, according to his own evidence in a recent legal matter.

A Star investigation found that Diamond has for many years been attracting thousands of would-be clients and then referring cases out to other lawyers in return for sometimes hefty referral fees. Along the way the firm’s marketing campaign has raised the ire of the Law Society of Upper Canada, clients, and some lawyers.”

“The business has been good to him. Diamond drives three cars — a $681,300 orange Lamborghini Aventador; a white convertible Maserati Gran Turismo valued at $235,400 and a $124,788 black Range Rover Sport. His firm has been a sponsor of high profile events, including the Toronto Police Chief’s annual gala ($15,000 for the Platinum Sponsor) and he appears in photos on Facebook and Pinterest with current police Chief Mark Saunders, former chief Bill Blair, and Mayor John Tory. According to their website he and his firm are “award-winning,” with honours given by Consumer Choice, Top Choice and also by the Toronto Sun.”

All he is is basically a marketing firm and sells off cases to other lawyers without his client’s consent.
Diamond is an embarrassment to the personal injury bar and is indeed really just a marketing agency that sells clients to other law firms. The Law Society has commissioned a task force to investigate and is in the process of setting caps and maximum %'s for referral fees, plus disclosure requirements when clients "hire" referral firms like Diamonds.
