I wonder what some of these snowflakes would think of Married With Children
They never made fun of gays or trans or minorities or women or fat people or chickens

The thing some people don't get is that times change. A joke that was funny 30-40 years ago was funny at the time but may be considered racist, homophobic, etc. nowadays. All in the Family was like this. It's the same thing with literature. 100+ years ago the N-Word was common verbage so while it is clearly offensive now, it wasn't offensive (or considered as offensive) back in the day. This all said, I've watched some Friends episodes a few times and I really haven't seen much that steps over the line.

The sadder thing is having younger family or friends that have no idea about Seinfeld, Married with Children, and a few of the other series that are classics and amazingly funny. I personally found little humor in Cheers though - seemed to be more of a drama with a few mild jokes tossed in.

I agree as well. A reporter can always find a few cranks who will complain about anything, especially on twitter.
It almost seems to be burgeoning into a new type of mental illness where some see racism/homophobia etc. everywhere they look. Some members of this board even seem to have it.

Ross was annoying. Chandler was the funniest character on the show in my opinion until he got more serious in the later seasons.
To each his/her own. At least you didn't say Rachel was the funniest. Anybody who thinks that needs a lobotomy.

Yeah this show would definitely result in a protest march chock full of obese tattooed rainbow-haired women calling on a ban for "fat shaming".

Ironically, fat shaming has been a cataclysmic failure. The rate of obesity has only gone up. Some 40% of Americans are obese.

Millennials are way too hyper sensitive. They can’t take criticism of any kind. They want to live in pretentious fluffy bunny world.

Friends was really just silly humour. It was so-so show that was popular due to overblown media hype. It’s no different than some of the crappy shows that get hyped on Twitter.

It wasn't today's episode, but it has been or will be. The Jeffersons, also by Norman Lear is another five-day perpetual.

You guys gotta mix more; all this stuff you say will cause outrage has been running non-stop since it first aired, and nary a ripple. Except from guys imagining someone else will get upset.

Guess who got 'triggered'.

It does seem like everything has to be "light and fluffy white" for today's generation.

There's one item millennials get right - clowns are terrifying! Before he became an actor, Eric Stonestreet was an offensive lineman at the University of Kansas.

Is everywhere on the OTA channels.
Millenials don't watch tv. The few that do, watch reality tv, not golden oldies.

They probably think Newton was a rapper.

And look what foolishness they are led to by their choice of such a sheltered existence. They really should get out more.

However, the thread is about millennials being exercised and outraged by at least one such golden oldie, so it seems some of them must watch some TV, however it is delivered.
