As he joined the campaign after the Trump tower meeting he won't have anything to add there.

Obviously he will have some insider information. The question is whether it's relevant to the I investigation mandate or are they fishing.

And I'm highly doubtful he will have any insight into Trump finances. I don't see them sharing family business with him.

Still will be interesting and more fodder for the pundits.
I guess that is why the Trump legal team issued basically what was tantamount to ' a gag order' to Bannon's legal team to have their client not answer any questions during the period where Trump was still just a candidate, a President-elect, in addition to Bannon's discussions with any and everyone during his time in the administration.

That is the most far fetched attempt/excuse at exercising executive privilege yet attempted by any President.

What is Trump repeatedly attempting to cover up?

Why is he paranoid?

Even paranoiacs have enemies, Presidents more than most. Even a President George \Washington Reborn would have teams of lawyers advising much as Donny's have. The sad part is how little the US has learned to advance its system of government from the last crook in the White House. But at least that one was voted in.

Trump has stated on numerous occasions that he looks forward to sitting down with Mueller and laying out his 'version' of the truth which if he were to actually answer questions would either result in a mountain of perjury charges or a tsunami of 'I don't recalls, I don't remembers'.

Yet .....

..... Bannon is under strict orders from Trump through Trump's lawyers not to say a word about anything.

Trump believes Bannon is not as an effective, accomplished and as prolific a liar as The KING of FAKE NEWS is.

It always amazes me how the Trumpanistas on this board know more than the investigators and the House and Senate committees and everyone else who has actually heard and seen evidence and whose investigations are not complete.

Like their fearless leader they must all be stable geniuses.

Did you see the title of the thread? Something about "amid speculation".

The pundits, media and detractors have done nothing but speculate on his guilt for a year. Without seeing any proof.

His supporters and those who just want to see the truth are the ones who continue to say wait for the evidence.

That's just silly.

Maybe. I won't rule anything out. But if it does happen it will probably be a process crime. Or perhaps unrelated financials.

Say hello to President Pence and an extremely motivated base then.

LOL. A lot more people are speculating about his innocence than his guilt. The prominent theme among most people other than the Trumpanistas is let the investigations play out and see where they lead. And that it is very suspicious the number of contacts which the Trump people had with Russians and how poor their memories are. Continually being caught in lies.

So, would a process crime or financial crimes be categorized as a moral victory in your eyes?

It doesn't matter. If Trump is somehow caught on something outside of collusion then watch as the worm turns.

Pence will be in. The GOP base will fire up. The Dem base will be complacent.

And politics will get uglier. Knives will be out. And there will be even less cooperation if that's possible.

The witchhunt on Trump is doing more damage to both The USA reputation and the electorate's opinion of Congress.

Expect a large backlash.

The majority of Americans (and the world really) think that Trump is doing more damage then the Mueller investigation.

There is something I can assure you for certain. Stephen Bannon is living in La-la Land if he believes that having spilled whatever information he supposedly has, that the left of center crowd will consider him a hero of: truth, justice and the American Way. Rather than moving on to hang him out to dry.

I don't think Bannon is thinking about sympathy for turning on Trump after Trump went to Robert Mercer and had him cut off. I'm sure its just revenge now.
Bannon's been kicked out of the White House and Breitbart, he's gotta be pissed.
