I would take Nainggolan over James 365 days of the year, James is overrated. Ancelotti's worst mistake.

Pep isn't such a genius without Messi. At least Mourinho won the CL with Inter, a club without a superstar.
James did pretty well in this game. He was a threat most of the time.

I was disappointed in Muller, who appeared not sharp at all. Maybe the years are showing.

Roma legend and 2001 scudetto winner (along with WC's with Brazil in 94 and 02) Cafu is in Rome to offer his support. I don't think it will matter, Roma can't physically control Liverpool like they did Barcelona.

The 2002 Brazil just may be the greatest Nationals ever, for starters the wing backs were Cafu and Roberto Carlos.

It's a foregone conclusion, it was always going to be Real Madrid vs Liverpool.

But from what I'm seeing, Liverpool aren't strong enough defensively to take down Real Madrid. It will be a third successive Champions Cup.

It's the end of an era, Gigi Buffon is leaving Juventus. He hasn't officially retired and West Ham has shown interest in getting him. Gigi has property in London but that would be bizarre!

The final Champions League spot has yet to be decided, Lazio will play Inter for the right. My heart wants Lazio but my head wants Inter. Internazionale has way more financial muscle, they can build a team to compete. They've already bought Stefan De Vrij. Their last foray into European compettion was embarrassing - they got knocked out of the Europa League by Be'er Sheva.

It would be better for his reputation if he became a manager, like the great Michael Laudrup.

Managia la Madonna! It looks like Gigi Buffon is set to sign a contract with PSG. He's still fit and wants to continue playing, to be fair he's still younger than Dino Zoff when he retired in 83.

And it looks like Maurizio Sarri will be the new manager of Arsenal with Chelsea with an outside chance. If he goes to Arsenal, they better give him the time and money to rebuild the club. Carlo Ancelotti will take his place at Napoli. This makes me sad, Sarri's eccentricities has been a treasure trove for Italian comics. Now English comics will have all the fun.

Emry got the Arsenal gig, not sure where Sarri will end up. He should have stayed with Napoli.
How times change, now she's become the other Chastain. Back in 1999 Brandi Chastain caused a furor by taking her shirt of after scoring the winning goal for US Women's Team. Couldn't figure out what the big deal was, she looked great shirtless...Americans being Americans.

Has she been disrespected? Why didn't they make a mold of her face?

Did they hire the same artist that originally did CR7 ? That's hilarious but I feel for her. Lol

Unai Emery to Arsenal is a bad, irresponsible decision. He is not an elite. This will bite gunners in the ass with big, sharp teeth.

...and Laurent Blanc sits at home...

Iniesta is following in the footsteps of Michael Laudrup going to Vissel Kobe.

Real Madrid were very lucky to beat Liverpool in the European Champions Finals. They laboured to contain Liverpool in the first half and that injury to Liverpool's star player Salah really changed the dynamics. The Liverpool Keeper's gaffes enabled Real to take the title. But Bale's goal was out of this world.

As Gilfoyle from Silicon Valley would say, "fuck you Sergio Ramos, fuck you".

He should consider a career as a luchador. This is the second time he's put an arm bar on the man he's marking. Unfortunately for Salah, he's not obscenely strong like Mandzukic. He went down hard on his shoulder, I knew his day was done. When he tried it on Mandzukic, in the second leg vs Juventus, the big Croat just shrugged him off. Ramos hung on to his wrist for dear life and a penalty kick was called. On both occasions, Ramos should have been red carded.

Liverpool want to sign Donnarumma, but the young keeper will self-destruct outside of Italy - I don't want to see him go Macheda.

The referee saw when Ramos pulled down Salah. I always hated Ramos, he's always been a dirty pig. Him and Pepe. The goalie fucked up.

Why they couldn't continue to play well even when Salah wasn't there is beyond me.

Ramos made contact with the ball, so that is why the referee did not consider it a foul. Yes, that wrapping around of that arm of Salah's should have been given as a foul. The problem is that would have been a yellow at the worse as Ramos was seen to go for the ball and then make contact with it. But the manner in which Salah went down did not help, as his arm took the whole of his body weight and it looked like a dislocation. He will miss the World Cup as he was Egypt's stand out striker.

It was a terrible way for the final to be decided.

One insanely lucky kick and two fumbles = 3.

Even if he went for the ball, Ramos tucked his arm in. Salah had no way to break the fall, more than likely he has a separated shoulder. It was a red in my book. He tried the same thing on Mandzukic but got bumped away so Ramos tried to twist his wrist as he went down. The penalty was given but Juve had dug too deep a hole to comeback. Carvajal injury is more serious than it looked, he tore a hamstring on an innocuous play.

Maybe the better team won but it very disappointing to see the goal keeping error. And of course the Salah injury. Unlucky Liverpool.
