I vote "The "Flower Duet" is a duet for sopranos from Léo Delibes' opera Lakmé, first performed in Paris in 1883. The duet takes place between characters

Lakmé, the daughter of a Brahmin priest, and her servant Mallika, as they go to gather flowers by a river " under the dome of the jasmin , where the birds sing calling us all to be together. "

What is Señor Draper's opinion?

Imho, Frank Zappa is a classical composer.]
Yes, esteemed colleague Von , both Zappa and McCartney have composed pieces for the orchestra. Zappa is the only musician to be in both the rock and jazz hall of fame . He also wrote this striking waltz.

Even though he wrote great melodies for The Beatles, I don't believe McCartney would have made it as a classical composer. Too sentimental, he would have been a poor man's Rachmaninov at best.

Zappa's music is studied at the music programs in various universities. His only collaboration with Jack Bruce (Cream).

Not Zappa.

, the Sanctus forms part of the Ordinary and is sung (or said) as the final words of the Preface of the Eucharistic Prayer, the prayer of consecration of the bread and wine.

Holy, Holy, Holy Lord God of hosts.
Heaven and earth are full of your glory.
Hosanna in the highest.
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
Hosanna in the highest.

He knew and admired Hendrix and his genius. Too bad they never collaborated but there may be some stuff yet to be released as I believe they jammed together in Zappas basement studio

Dwezill found a smashed Hendrix guitar in the attic then repaired it and it sold for a million

Yeah, Frank Zappa was musical genius, guitar god, and one of a kind. And yes - he knew Hendrix and all the greats. There's an excerpt in Shep Gordon's book about the Landmark Hotel and the musicians he met there while he was a "pharmaceutical" salesman. Hendrix, Joplin, Morrison, The Chambers Brothers... They all hung out, knew each other, and sometimes played together. Of course, Zappa never did drugs. Zappa helped discover Alice Cooper and wanted to sign him - Zappa told Cooper (then Vincent Furnier) to come by his home studio "at 7" for an audition and Cooper showed up with his band at 7 AM instead of PM. Zappa listened half asleep in his bathrobe and simply said "I don't get it". Which apparently meant it was great. At the time, they were musically awful (being all art majors instead of musicians) but Zappa saw the potential.

Anyway, Zappa was way ahead of his time. Here's an old TV clip of Zappa playing a bicycle on the Steve Allan show. Check out the haircut and the suit!!

Alice Cooper were raw when they played for Zappa, Love It To Death was still two years away.

Zappa was also part of an infamous incident at the Montreux Jazz Festival. Deep Purple were opening for them and their hotel burned down. Purple still made the set then recorded an album there.

Not a big follower of this band, but the album by Cradle of Filth, Beauty and the Beast was well done. Portrait of the Dead Countess below.

Love Zappa's music. I'll never forget being wasted one night and listening to Rat Tomago. Stuck in my head for years...
