I got my subscription to Sirius/XM a few months ago, since then its paid for itself. I was at a meeting in midtown, turned on Q107 for the ride home. Nothing but commercials all the way up the 400, I finally got to my exit on Langstaff when, out of the goodness of their heart, they played some music. It was Honeymoon Suite, enough was enough. I got a subscription The minute I got home.

Stern has been at it since 1976, you can't expect him to be like he was. He reached his peak while going through divorce from Alison, unfortunately her outstanding contributions to the show are not aired. He's mellowed since he got his trophy wife. In the 90's he would not have gotten a chance to interview Dan Rather. He still does goofy shit, during Cocktober, Michael Rappaport had to judge the cock painting competition in order to plug his book. I couldn't stop laughing.

As for Dana Plato, I'm not sure what role he played in her death. It appeared more like a death by misadventure than an actual suicide. Judge for yourself:

I've heard bits of Stern/Plato before. Not going to bother listening to it again, but if there's one thing I don't like about Stern is that sometimes a guest will get shit on so much it's painful to listen to. And it's not like the guest doesn't mind and enjoys hearing criticism. You can tell they are feeling ripped apart. Once that studio crew or Stern followers go against you, it's a blood bath and they will stomp on your grave with delight.

That's the only real thing I didn't like about the show..... along with Quivers being bland filler. Stern could have found a better female colleague that added to the show. Quivers just sat back most of the time as the straight face. I guess with a show of full of people cracking jokes, you need that calm person to play against, but for me the clips I heard could be so funny and wacky, I actually don't want someone like Robin to calm things down. I want it to keep going.

The rest of the stupid skits I found funny. Dumb humour for sure, but what was comforting was that the guests know full well it's dumb too, so everyone taking part enjoys it.

I feel outrage at this thread, although it is a little funny.

As for The Howard Stern show, that is just a freak show on radio.

Check out this interview, as it pertains to the topics on this forum.

Poor Lennie!

Look on the bright side.

At least there is some diversity.

Without that, The Howard Stern Show would have been off the air a long time ago, axed for obvious reasons.

Howard would have had to go into companionship business with Lenny Dyksta.

That would be a problem because the rumour is that Howard Stern has a really small dick.

I have been listening to Sirius for years, to me commercial radio is beyond horrid. I enjoyed Howard but his interview style is cringe worthy and I feel embarrassed for his guests at times re Robert Plant interview took the cheese factor to new heights as well as his interview with Seinfeld and Letterman and every musical guest,

"Well look at you, You've done it all, You've said it all" wraps up almost every interview.

His need to have every good looking female guest praise his look or somehow say he could have had a shot with her shows he has issues

Megyn Kelly's ratings are abysmal - maybe she should date Jeff the Drunk.

So now to increase her rating she's feuding with Jane Fonda. I get that she didn't want Roger Ailes eating whipped cream out of her asshole - but a leopard can't change it's spots.

Lovely Hucka looks like keeping up with Trump is burning her out. Will Jeff the Drunk be his new Press Secretary.

She had a strong lead in at Fox following O'Reilly. At her new home it's all up to her. Different audience, too.
