So my girlfriend broke up with me right before Christmas (after we had gotten back together), saying I don’t treat her right, was abandoning her over Xmas, etc. I just stop talking to her and leave it be.

Then last night she sends me a text at 10pm saying she is in desperate need of financial assistance, and requires $2000 to pay for tuition at the end of the month, and I am the only person she can ask as she has no family here (she is on a temporary visa in Canada).

It should be obvious for me what to do, but the prospect of pussy seems to cause my brain to stop working. Help me out TERBites, how should I handle this situation?

Also, there has been no explicit promise of sex or rekindling the relationship, I’m just assuming that will be included in the deal. I could just meet up with her and try to seduce her, then say I don’t feel comfortable giving her the money.

You broke up. You don't owe her anything. And $2k is a lot versus say $200. I personally would evaluate if this person is really deserving (i.e. a good person) or is she just using you and your potential generosity. A sucker is born every minute...

Is she expecting the money as a gift or loan? Obviously for the latter I'd take steps to create some paperwork so you have a case if she doesn't pay you back. You'd be a prime candidate for Judge Judy.

Lastly, I know this board revolves around giving ladies money for company/sex. I hate to say it but it sounds a little exploit-y to give a desperate person money in exchange for sex. I can't say I know the personal situation of every lady I have seen but for those I've seen on a regular basis and spoken to, there's nothing I noticed that would indicate they were desperate for money and had no other choice. They have chosen SW for whatever reason and it's a job. So, if you are willing to exchange the money for sex, plenty of ladies to choose from where there will be no strings/issues/exploitation.

Giving her money (especially such a large amount) for tuition or whatever is bad idea. It just makes it look like you are trying to get back with her. There are other ways to get money for education despite being on a temporary visa. She just needs to talk to her school, bank, or Western Union. You can help her by finding out that information for her.

I think she’s expecting it as a gift... She says she is “In urgent need of financial assistance” and requires $2000. Even if it is a loan, I have a hard time picturing her being able to ever pay it back (this is a woman who sends money back home to support her parents and son). I get the feeling that I am being looked at as an ATM (she’s a black carribean woman, I’m as white as the driven snow).

Thanks for the replies, I just need to hear some common sense.

I wouldn't lend her the money. If she has been sending money home, she is obviously making it somewhere.

She may also try to re-establish the relationship with you to get you to lend her the cash.....

I think you need to move on.

I don't think you should do it but if you insist on doing it make sure to directly pay the tuition yourself so you know for sure that is where the money is going.

By the way, I need 2k for a penis reduction think you could help me out ??
(Sorry couldn't help but poke fun)

Money given to friends, family, exes, etc. is a gift in my mind. Don't expect it back even if you have paperwork. The time required to get them to pay it back is more than the actual amount. It's a pain to drag someone to small claims court not to mention the stress it puts on you and the other person.

What does this have to do with the OP's situation? Nothing as usual.

It should be obvious for me what to do, but the prospect of pussy seems to cause my brain to stop working. Help me out TERBites, how should I handle this situation?
I think it depends on what kind of person she is. If she is a nice person, that just wanted you alone for Christmas, I would lend/give her the money, if I could afford it. On the other hand, if she is a B*&^H and has been playing you, move on.

If I had the resources I would do it in a heartbeat. This was a person that you had a relationship with and I assume good and bad times. Whether or not she is in a "dire financial situation", she has asked for your help. If you want nothing to do with her, then say no. If you think she is a good person and you can afford to "gift" her the $2,000, then do so with no expectations or strings attached.

This is a good idea, but still sending the message to the ex that the OP is a bank. The ex has to deal with her own financial problems. Assist her by pointing her in the right direction: student aid, money transfer, bank loan, etc. but not with the cash.

she's dumping you right?

so what better way to split up with you than to a huge chunkload of your cash in the process?

are you thinking with the big head or the little head...?
