Ever think about the money we have spent on hobbying over the years?

I’ve been hobbying actively for over 15 years. I take my breaks. But back into the game only a few weeks later. I guess that there could be worse habits or addictions.

Anyone else ever think about this?

I've only been in the hobby for ~6 months. I can only imagine it's changing me for the better. I can't say why, maybe confidence? I've really never had women hit on me like ever, then in the past month or so 3 women made it clear they were hitting on me plus a weird one - I was out for new years, wife decided to have a quiet night at home with her sister. A friends wife that was there texted my wife days later to tell her how sweet of a guy I was and how much she enjoyed talking to me. Nothing leading up to that, and nothing after. WTF is with that?

I can't see this a co-incidence. These ladies do more for us than satisfy the immediate need without us knowing it. Money well spent IMO.

I should add they are making me a better lover too. When I came into this hobby I had pretty much no interest in DATY. A lady I've been seeing lately completely changed that. I'll admit due to lack of experience I actually had to google this stuff and read up on it, but I'm making an effort to be better. She keeps me on my toes learning new stuff and that's awesome. I don't want to speak for her but I have the impression she is happy with what I'm doing.

There are some things that we just take to our graves and never tell our wives or girlfriends. LoL

I frequently think about how much money I've spent hobbying and I hobby pretty sparsely compared to many. Once every two months on average. Before I got married, I didn't have a ton of disposable income and post-marriage the disposable income is plentiful but the ability to use it is too difficult. Joint bank account, etc. I'm reduced to pulling the odd $20 or $40 out of the ATM every couple of weeks among other techniques.

That being said, if I look back on my 10ish years of hobbying (including a multi-year break when my wife and I first started dating), I'd have to guess that I've cleared $10k. I broke two or three thousand on MPs alone before I even moved on to SPs.

I think if I was pulling in the combined income of my wife and I but I lived alone, I'd be dropping Thumper levels of cash in to this.

I often think of the money I spent on clothes and shoes and just having a good time. If I had put away just 10% of that money I would have a hefty downpayment on a house or I could have had several plastic surgeries. It wasn't until recently that I could use the money I make as an income. I use my deposits and cam girl money to show an income now so hopefully in a few year I can get a mortgage. I easily could have paid for a house in cash a few years ago, but I had no way to explain my income. I only really work 2 days a week now and I plan on going to college for a bit but I really regret not putting that money away somewhere safe and buying a house with it.

And some day, I will be contributing to that mortgage payment of yours.

Hobbying actually made me better with my money. I saw how much I was using each year for the hobby so I started to shave off a bit and funneling money into my tfsa then rrsp when tfsa was full. I used my tfsa to play the stock markets a little bit. Lets just say the recent weed stock explosions have funded not only my very early retirement, but also some serious play time.

I've never looked back and regretted the money spent. Well, maybe some of the horrible toft experiences, but over all its been a fun run!

I can't say enough how true this is. It is so important to save. For me, I also suggest multiple income streams. I say that for a couple of reasons.

1. It gives you declarable income. I personally feel that ladies should claim this income but many won't for their own reasons. Having a second job, allows for a income that can be shown. People don't realize how important that is.

2. Having a second income makes this job safer. You have less pressure on yourself to take every appointment that comes in and you can therefore follow your gut more. The more you make outside of this, the more you can decline. Sounds strange but it is actually very true.

3. You can plan and take breaks to avoid things like burn out.

4. You can hopefully get something with benefits because this job does not give out benefits.

Those are just a few.

As for saving, I put $50 from each appt away, right off the top. I don't consider my rate to be $250. I consider it $200. Just like deductions from salary.

From there, I break down what I want. Some back into business for things like outfits, supplies, ads, etc. Some goes to another type of savings, etc. I don't put towards bills because my other income covers that. But I want a really nice retirement so that is where I bank most of my cash now. Different funds and savings plans.

I wish there was classes on stuff like this for women in this industry. Too many see the fast money and don't realize how much more they could do in life if they were just a bit smarter with their income from this industry.

Jackpot...not enough women realize they are running a business. Congrats Jessica!
It goes like this. Let's say you real name was ivanka trump. But ivanka trump is really CEO of 'Ashley Escort' (or whatever your pro name e.g., Jessica Rain)...that is the biz. A simplified plan looks like this...

1)Estimate how many days you can work within the time frame (6 month or 1 year?). And be conservative! Thus for a year, estimate 1 month for holiday, and then 3 weeks a month max as auntie flow pops in on a regular basis. Also, you might get sick now and then or just feel not up to it. Thus take out a month for that. Thus max 30 working weeks a year...and w weekends off 150 working days. (30 weeks x 5 days a week).
2)Then estimate your costs....hotels, additional supplies (lubes, safety gear, makeup, outfits), advertising costs...Always over estimate costs if unsure. Include additional food costs as it is more expensive eating hotel room service or local restaurant vs home.
3). Once you know that, you can figure out how much per day is your target in order to clear 60k, 80k, 100k, 120k, etc. above your costs. Even to the level of how many 1 hour dates per working day if you are so disposed.
4). And do exactly what you're doing Jessica ...immediately deduct money that you don't see or touch. Too many ladies in this biz see income way beyond what they made working at timmies and they start going out a lot buying expensive clothes Champaign cars...and find nothing to show for a year where they grossed 140k. Force yourself to save!
5). Having the other more socially....uh...explainable...jobs also helps in creating an income paper trail that enables you to get the credit you need for downpayments etc. Maybe youre an artist, performer, paralegal, etc (independent contractor type gigs the best jobs for you ladies for a variety of reasons)....

Thus treating yourself as a business....the human relations business...helps you help yourself. One way to think of this is you're a lot like pro athletes...you may not be able to do this your entire life so make sure you walk away with something to help you in your next phase of life. I've known smart ladies who had the discipline in this biz and told me how they paid off all their Uni, or one who said it accelerated her own business plans by at least 5 years. A few years ago i did a post with real numbers of how to clear 200k a year lol. Too lazy to dig it up. Good luck to you all. I know im always barracking for the ladies whose companionship i cherish.
P.s. all off the top of my head so forgive any oversights I'm sure someone will chime in to correct me.
P.s.s. funny me and a pal of mine from this world who also has a bizniss background used to joke about creating courses for ladies in this field and we'd call it (using x as his name) "X's college of SP knowledge" lol
P.s.s.s. This public service announcement brought to you by a quadruple espresso...
