Yes, it happened, my wife locked herself out of her iPad by repeatedly entering an incorrect passcode, only to find the correct code written down safely in a book (no terb password there though). Apple is playing the company line and saying there's nothing to do except wipe clean and re-start. Problem is, she never did a back-up of data due to our slow internet speed and she refuses to lose all her data. She was in the process of initiating a back-up to another computer when asked for a passcode, and that's when she invented a passcode which wasn't the real one (she had forgotten that she actually had a passcode).
How to get to a point where the iPad will accept the real passcode?
