Pretty weak card to end the year IMHO with the exception of Khabib and Edson fight, if Khabib can make weight.
Nice to see Condit back as I like him but he has lost 5 of his last 7 fights and Magny has lost 2 of his last 3
I like Holly and am semi interested to see if she can take Cyborg into the latter rounds to see if Cyborg has any cardio

Cris Cyborg (c) vs. Holly Holm
Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Edson Barboza
Dan Hooker vs. Marc Diakiese
Cynthia Calvillo vs. Carla Esparza
Carlos Condit vs. Neil Magny

Preliminary Card (Fox Sports 1)

Khalil Rountree vs. Michał Oleksiejczuk
Myles Jury vs. Rick Glenn
Marvin Vettori vs. Omari Akhmedov
Louis Smolka vs. Matheus Nicolau

Preliminary Card (UFC Fight Pass)

Tim Elliott vs. Mark De La Rosa

I think Khabib will be very tough for both McGregor and Ferguson to beat. Ferguson deserves to fight McGregor first though.

Have to agree.
For a years end card, It makes me really miss PrideFC. With all the talent he has, how can Dana not stack a deeper card?
I don't think the UFC particularly cares about its year end events, ever since MMA was legalized in NY State their focus has always been on the Madison Square Garden card. The MSG card is the now the UFC's version of Pride's New Year's Eve events.

Holly vs. Cyborg was a story of one fighter making the correct reads & adjustments and the other failing to do so and doubling down on her failures. Holly was doing well at first using her right hook to hit Cyborg while circling out from the fence, she was actually mixing things up nicely early in the fight. But then she started going more & more to her left hand and Cris picked up on that and started countering with her own right hand, and instead of going back to her earlier tactics, Holly became even more predictable and started every sequence with a left hand. Not surprisingly it didn't end well for her.

And Condit, much as I like him, looks done. He had Magny backing into the fence on many occasions yet he just stood there and let him get free every time. The Condit from 2 years ago would follow him right in with a flurry of punches or jump in with a flying knee. When a fighter is hesitant and can't let his fists fly, it's time for him to call it a day.

Khabib doing the usual Khabib things was the highlight of the night for me, that man is going to be very hard to stop. Overall, an OK card, I think it was pretty good on paper but some of the fighters just aren't what they were in the past.

It was a horrible card on paper, in actuality it was much worse after all was said and done. The only good fight was Khabib, which should have been part of greater card with at least 2 other good matches to make it a ppv... otherwise it had less than a fight night status.

As for McGregor ... he should be stripped of his title already.

A lot of people hate Rockhold because of his douchey personality. Romero will easily take him down.
There was a episode of Millionaire Matchmaker that he was on ... ask the lady if she spit or swallowed.

I met him in Vegas poolside, lots of hot women around and he was very touchy feely with them, they didn't seem to care but a few were not impressed at his aggressive nature and words were exchanged. Didn't bother him he just went after the ones that wanted him, pretty sure he bedded a few and dumped them afterwards.

He was not a fan favourite unless you were a hot chick.

Ufc 220 has a very weak card. The co main event and main event (which may not last long) are the only fights worth watching.

Yeah this card is unworthy of ppv status really but it has the draw of the big guys fighting, well we still have another couple days for something to go wrong. I'll be in Boston this weekend to take in the fights and watch the Pats on Sunday, I've been here before and the number of drunk people provides it own show the whole evening, it's worse than Vegas the number of incidents that happen.

The main isn't going the distance as someone's going to get KOed and DC will take care of Volkan. There is a rumour that Conor may show up ... who knows?

When a champion doesn't defend the belt for a long time, interim or not, it hurts that division and scheduling of fight cards is diminished, overall hurting the product.

Btw, there is a Bellator match that night on the west coast... Sonnen vs. Rampage.

As you stated before Dana lies ... if he knew Conor was not going to fight he should have stripped him a long time ago and let other fighters go for it, the reason he didn't was his close relationship with Conor. Sure he has $100 million in earnings and is a ppv draw but if your not going to fight then what's the point? If you knew then you act. The pricing for the sale of UFC was dependent on the number of Conor fights and PPV numbers ... well, present value that!

Some Bellator fights are great, others would be sideshow... am looking forward to seeing the return of Rory vs Lima, which was the main until it got bumped. I believe that a long time colour commentator from Bellator will make his premiere at UFC this weekend.

I am looking forward too seeing Lima fight McDonald.

It might actually be a good thing that Connor takes a leave because there is a good chance that he would lose against Ferguson or Nurmagomedov. If that happened, The UFC would have to look for a new face of the organization immediately (possibly Ngannou) and Connor's star power would decrease which would result in lower purses/ppl numbers.

I do believe Connor will fight again but most likely against GSP.

I think that Lima was robbed, I had him winning on my score card ... Rory couldn't stand with all that leg damage. Chael vs Rampage .. I guess if your doing a tournament it looks good. Mir vs Fedor I'd like to watch.

Miocic hats off for going the distance and retaining the belt. DC did what he had to do no surprise there.

Did you mean Conor vs GSP? Because GSP stated that he wouldn't fight smaller opponents but you never know, besides GSP would win that.
