IMO, DT shouldn’t involve any gagging, or jamming. I guess some might like that, but I like it when it’s slow and silky. Maybe you’re jamming into the back or roof of her mouth, not the throat?

Best is when your SO or provider “walks” her mouth into DT using her lips with lots of tongue/lip action on the upstroke. I find that deep throat is a lot like anal in that you can’t just immediately jam into it. You have to work into it especially if you are larger than average. Once there, if she’s skilled, she can hold you in DT or even let you cum in DT. maybe you are - it should not be uncomfortable for you or your partner, if she is gagging a lot then she is not experienced at DT or is unable to control the gag reflex. It takes time and practice to control it and some ladies never seem able control it or are perhaps unwilling to practice enough to do so.

maybe try over the edge position and dont force it too quickly - should be able to slide in all the way without forcing.

I've always said that I enjoy it if done right. Nesbot hit the nail on the head, soft, slow and deep. I like the feel of my throat being filled but not if his penis is hitting the back of my throat the wrong way or gagging me. The edge position can work but sometimes I'm getting smothered in the process. It's dependent on the height of the bed and gent, the length of the penis, etc. making for a workable angle or not. I sometimes enjoy having a choker around my neck or being very mildly choked (basically just a hand placed there with a little pressure applied).
