Another celebrity/athlete bites the dust...... due to drugs. Not cocaine or anything like that, but still high on something.

It's amazing how often all these rich and famous people screw around like that. Must be that feeling of "I'm invincible". The only other people who are always seem drugged up are slummy drug addicts.

When was the last time you knew a friend or family member who passed away and it turned out an autopsy said he was high on drugs? I've never heard it. Everyone I know who's died, passed away due to old age or getting a disease in their 60s and older. And a few people in their 30s and 40s who had cancer.

Note to all rich and famous people: You never have to worry about money, people love you, and you are free to do whatever you want in your off-time. Just chill out. Go watch a movie or travel the world. Taking pills or snorting stuff is the last thing you should be doing to kill time.

On a side note, look what Tom Petty had in his system when he died. What the fuck?

Tom Petty died of accidental drug overdose, medical examiner says

The medical examiner's news release said the autopsy found these drugs in Petty's system: fentanyl, oxycodone, acetyl fentanyl and despropionyl fentanyl, which are opioids; temazepam and alprazolam, which are sedatives; and citalopram, an antidepressant.

The cause of death was "multisystem organ failure due to resuscitated cardiopulmonary arrest due to mixed drug toxicity" and the manner of death was "accident," the medical examiner's news release said. Petty also suffered from coronary artery atherosclerosis and emphysema, it said.

Wow that is insanity!

Once again illustrating to everyone what a class act you are. You must have a lot of friends...
I know from your posting history you rank right up there with Halladay but seriously aren't you a bit bored with the stalking yet? You reply to literaly every post I make.
No I do not like you that way, go away.

Do you think anyone trying to fly an airplane while high is a good person? Putting other people's lives in danger on the ground and in the skies?

Well.... Now I wonder if he had some speed in him while pitching...

The body of two-time Cy Young winner Roy Halladay showed evidence of morphine, an amphetamine and the sleeping medication Ambien when it was examined after his fatal plane crash off the coast of Florida in November, according to the autopsy report obtained by USA Today Sports on Friday.

I swear your delusional. Why don't check your post history and see when the last time I replied to one of your posts was?

I tend to only do it when your at your best, making rude comments about dead people and similar shit you tend to spew out.

Apparently he had a hip fracture that had developed into a full blown broken hip and was in an amazing amount of pain.

No where in the article does it say he was as high as a kite when he crashed. It says he had morphine and other drugs in his system, but it does not state if it was only in trace amounts or a dosage that could cause impairment.

The main reason for the crash was he was doing a beat up and lost too much airspeed at the top before recovering. The drugs in his system were a contributing factor, along with the fact that seaplanes have a different centre of gravity than land planes. All of the causes were pilot error though.

Do you actually try to ever be a good person? Or are you just to comfortable being an narcissistic asshole?

Bottom line is that it was Halladay’s fault. However, Icon marketed the plane in a way that almost asked their customers to push the limit. Interestingly, if you go to Icon’s webpages for the A5 they have completely revamped how they are marketing this - now with a focus on the technology and safety of the plane vs as a sports car for the sky (how they positioned it pre-Halladay crash).

This could have happened to Tiger Woods who was arrested for DUI in the fall when he mixed prescription meds. Luckily he only got a ticket but it could have been much worse for him or another innocent bystander.
