Many people in Silicon Valley believe in the Singularity—the day in our near future when computers will surpass humans in intelligence and kick off a feedback loop of unfathomable change.

When that day comes, Anthony Levandowski will be firmly on the side of the machines. In September 2015, the multi-millionaire engineer at the heart of the trade secrets lawsuit between Uber and Waymo, Google’s self-driving car company, founded a religious organization called Way of the Future. Its purpose, according to previously unreported state filings, is nothing less than to “develop and promote the realization of a Godhead based on Artificial Intelligence.”

Revelation 13

15 And it was given to him to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast would even [l]speak and cause as many as do not worship the image of the beast to be killed.

it's an antisemitic myth that claim the Kazharian empire mass converted to Judaism and modern day Jews are descended for them.

You fear what you do not understand and you understand so little. Everything is either divine intervention or the work of the devil when you live in ignorance.

I still got a lot of crap to catch up (work) and not enough time to delve into the AI but I have a couple questions regarding AI that resident exprts could answer me.

1) Is AI self-aware ? (" The capacity for introspection and the ability to recognize oneself as an individual separate from the environment and other individuals." Wikipedia)

2) Is AI thinking or just solving problems with pre-learned defined routines at (by human terms) very fast speeds ?

3) Most innovative leaps of discovery were made by jumping in to new patterns of thinking not previously defined and in some cases rejected by current scholars (eg: Relativity, genetics, particle physics, etc). Will AI be capable of similar achievements ?

4) Will AI appreciate or see any relevance to art ? Will the AI residence be void of paintings, portraits / reminders of past experiences ?

5) Will AI have any inherent sense of loyalty ?

I'm rhyming these off my head - my apologies if the video has answered them.

The guy is worth upwards of $120M and he’s budgeted about $10k for starting up this religion. Not sure how serious he is; might be pulling Wired’s, um, wires! (Ah, I make myself giggle....)

Anyway, I see AI as potentially bad but with set rules, controllable. Ie, if an AI cannotmphyscially connect to something, it can’t control it. Which makes electrical power the final veto vote for an AI “brain” (which conceptually could be across the globe....)

The biggest fear, which I think is rationale, is an AI that disrupts Financial and health networks for reasons unknown and quickly. Interesting studies on AI cars and imaging and how it works: the patterns that get recognized and acted upon are not what humans perceive, so it’s reasonable that the actions an advanced AI takes out on a network could be for reasons foreign or unrecognized by humans as well.
