He has admitted it, apologized and indicated he would cooperate with a congressional investigation and the Dems pretty much told him they weren't going to cover his ass - no pun intended - over this and he would have to man up.

If only the Republicans would act with the same candour and decency re Roy Moore, the world would be a little better.

Well that makes everything okay again, doesn't it??

Sexual assault is okay so long as you admit to it and have congress investigate it

It, like Moore, is the hypocrisy. And judging from some initial stuff coming out I think more ELECTED officials are going to get roasted soon.

And it's all due in part to Trump getting elected. His getting in has galvanized the female population to come forward as never before.

As I've oft said. Its going to have to get worse first. This is an unexpected but much needed reckoning.

And those who opposed Trump on this basis are going to get the worst of it.

The Dems have now lost an effective voice. His star was on the rise. He better hope this is the only one that comes to light or it could be over for him.

You fail to see the point.

NOBODY said or implied or even hinted that what he did was ok.

The point, which I know will be hard for you to admit, is that the way Franken and his political brethren are dealing with how to proceed in light of his admission and apology (reread oagre's response) is much more admirable than the GoP and their do anything to stop the Dems approach. Their tribalism trumps honour.

And that is what oagre's point was.

Unless they eject him from caucus it's the same. Tut tuting and then business as usual isn't any better. Its enabling.

He is a grown man. He knew it was wrong. He doesn't get a pass because he is a hypocrite.

As to the the Dems being admirable? Really? After the primary rigging?

It's going to be fun to watch the collapse of the two party system. And this as opposed to corruption is the perfect way to do it.

Bring em on for both parties.

Just the tip.... just the tip...
Agreed, everyone who has victimization in their past but was to afraid to come forward is now seriously given the outing option a second look. Furthermore if Weinstein was outed before the last US election, Trump would not have gotten in. Trump is likely paying out $$$ in hush money as are many many others.

Not to mention that the Roy Moore case involves underage and very young teenagers.
