I feel especially cynical today.
When you get ghosted, and the provider/client texts you later - what kind of excuse do you get?

A few of my favourites:

1. My battery died
2. I had to run out to a last minute appointment I forgot about - OMG! (LOL!! - oh yeah baby :biggrin-new:)
3. My phone ran out of time

....?

1. i'm a little behind time
2.Need time to do my hair
3. I don't feel good

I can only speak for myself but If I wasn't logged into my work app and don't see texts til the next time I'm logged in I either text back apologising for not being logged in to my work app or I ignore the msg if it's too old as I know they will text back again. Don't want to disturb someone's private life if they are home with their wife. Hence I wait to hear from them again.
If that's not a good enough excuse then it's because I was busy with another client or doing something else.
On the other hand if I may, I've had these excuses from clients:

Sorry something came up are u available now? Usually last minute.
Or,
I got a flat tire
I got in a car accident (over 20 car accidents and flat tires clients have the worst luck)
I couldn't get to the phone my boss was around
Battery died
Had to take my kid to hockey r u available now? After missing appointment without letting me know earlier.
I miss the days of landline if u wanted something u just call if u wanna make an appt u just made it and go. No bs.

Arrived on time at an SP and had her tell me she just ate dinner and needed some time to clean up her cooking mess. After 10 mins, I offered to help her clean. No reply. An hour later she texts back "All done! sorry took awhile but I'm finished now!". I, long gone, replied "I finished too".

actually...the first excuse was 2 hours before, she asked i get there 30 min past appointed time as she was running late...ok no problem, when i got there, she asked if i could come back in an hour, needed time to do her hair...hmmm..ok, ..i'll give her a break since all the reviews were glowing and she's a girl after all. Come back an hour later, some 'guy' friend text says she does'nt feel good. I said right, what happened to the hair, 'he' then said, she's asleep now because not feel good. When i said this is all BS, 'he' then went on saying she was robbed and blah blah blah....

Yes all in the same visit and the same girl, when i posted it on here as a negative review, 'he' (i surmise it was actually her all the time) came on to spew all the BS about the felt bad and rob shit.

I mean ok, shit happens in this world but come on, a litany of excuses that ends with a robbery. I may be a fool to have accepted paying her over sized rates but i ain't THAT stupid. Just glad i saved my hard earned cash on that one, notwithstanding that another SP who worked close told me she wasn't that hot and was overrated.

Doesn't take a rocket scienitist to figure out that was a bunch of bullshit. And what pisses me off is how they lied and said she was robbed? When? When she was doing her hair? There are people who actually are robbed and go through that tramitic expeince and you want to use that as an excuse to flake on appointment. That is like calling a false rape. I really hate when women do that. They disrecpt actual victims.

yeah, she got robbed while blowing her hair (or another dick). Was just plain stupid instead of saying something like...hey sorry i can't make it, or i got a regular client that wanted to make a longer booking. Anything that would have made sense and not waste my time would have been acceptable. And i did not mention that she had cancelled my original appointment the day before and that she was the one who actually texted me the next day to set this up only to throw all the BS at me afterwards.

Talk about a complete lack of respect and etiquette, more so since SHE had asked me if i was still interested in seeing her.

Very nearly got ghosted by a private MA.

Text conversation on my arrival to her house:

Me: I'm here
Her: Sorry, I'm busy
Me: ?? We had an appointment
Her: I'm hurrying back
Me: How long?
Her: 5mins
Her: 15min later "ok. Come in".
Me: ??wtf?? (to myself)

So, I'm parked in front of her house. One might assume that since she said she was "hurrying back", she was away somewhere - hmmm I din't see anyone hurrying back to or leaving the house. Repeated apology once inside.
*Sigh* games, games, games....

You could have said you were the FerroRoche delivery man!
But seriously I'd never go to see someone who had a 24/7 building concierge or a hotel with an afterhours elevator access policy. Who needs the aggravation?
