When you remember Oct 19, 1987 like it was yesterday. Any old-timers remember what they were doing that day? I was a first year trader (meaning I knew fuck all) for a now defunct firm and have a vivid memory of looking at the screens and seeing the DOW change was down 80 something and then looking back a few minutes later and seeing it at -20 something. Then realizing that the big figure meant that the DOW was actually down triple digits (Telerate/Reuters/Bloomberg used to only have 2 digits for the change so couldn't display the change properly). Surreal.
It was a scary day for sure............net worth dropped a "bit"!

I very rarely go to strip clubs any more. But when I do I am often asked if I have been to the club before. You know you are old when you can reply that you have been there before she was even born.

and the principal saw fit to gather grades 4-6 in the largest classroom, where the one TV was set up, and we could watch the third period. Us, and the whole country exploded when Henderson scored the winner - FYI he also scored the winning goal for games 5 and 6.

I was in grade 6, our principle sent us home to watch the entire 8th game!, what an emotional series that was (Esposito's rant, Clarke breaking Kharlamov's ankle, Peter Mahovlich's short handed goal, JP Parise's stick swinging incident, Alan Eagleson being rescued by the players after almost being hauled away by the Russian police-in hindsight the players should have let the police take him away, lol) in wasn't just about hockey. It was about communism vs free world.

I remember watching a doc and one of our guys - I'm thinking Dennis Hull, who never won Stanley, asked Yvan Cornourier (sp?) how winning this series compares to winning the Stanley Cup. Apparently Yvan said this was like winning 10 Stanley Cups all at once (or something like that). And I also remember where I was on Oct 19, 1987. I remember the next day President Reagan put on a happy face, he said there was nothing to worry about.

And I concur with the guys who said figuring out cars and phones has become too big of a headache. I am so old that I remember when I knew more than my phone!

When you beginning to notice you have a grey public hair.....
ANd you need viagara or cilias.
I've had grey public hair for a long time. And everyone knows it, and I don't try to hide it. I presume that was a typo, but I still couldn't resist.
