I could have sworn when I googled blue Jays yesterday it said today’s game was at 7:07 so I wasn’t even looking for the game until a few minutes ago.
Did anyone else just lose video on this cheap bargain basement Facebook stream? I just see the MLB logo and the commentators talking now. It's like we're in the 1930's listening to the radio and "using our imagination."

I think everyone better get ready to see sports on Facebook. They have the money to buy the broadcast rights and the ability to draw a huge audience world wide. This was a test.
No wonder Rogers was pissed over losing the broadcast. They bought all the sports teams for content and to lick in subscribers. Losing sports will kill cable tv.

Not missing the in innings commercials either. Could have done with pitch frames though and more player stats. Can't complain though as it's free.

I got a good feeling about this team
this is the polar opposite of the 2017 team.
Leading the league in hitting w RISP, top runs in the late innings 7 thru 9.
Balanced attack, winning while sluggers JD and Morales are on DL.
Most importantly 12-5 instead of 2-11.
While I will say this is a great start, other than the opening series against the Yankees, they haven't played and good teams.
Everyone doubted Shapiro/Atkins, and I'm not sure why. This team didn't need much to be a better team. People keep forgetting that last year couldn't have gone any worse. If it could go wrong, it did. This year they are healthy, and they patched up the glaring offensive holes with simple baseball sabermetrics. There is so much talent out there, it's easy to non-tender ryan goins with someone that can hit the ball.
With each passing day, teams are realizing there is a ton of talent out there, and no need to over pay the Albert Pujlos' of the world into their late 30's for crap production that's just going to clog up your payroll. It's just not worth it.
Even Edwin Encarnacion, if these next two years aren't good for him, that contract is a bust. The market has never been this unpredictable.
Finally, now we can get back to some normalcy in terms of scheduled games. It better not rain out in NY tonight!

Now we have Yanks away and BoSox at home. We'll get a better idea how good they are.

With Donaldson and Morales coming back and a glut of talent in the OF, I wonder if he is going to be waived and Hernandez kept with the club?
At AAA, we have Alford and Pompey. With the big club, we have Granderson, Pierce, Pillar and Hernandez. The depth in the OF is pretty stacked.
Alternatively, we could deal Morales. But Grichuk is looking like an insurance policy that we didn't need and which didn't pan out.

Highly doubt anyone would claim him on waivers, but I guess they would have to send Hernandez down until after nobody claims him, but something seems like it's has to be done.
