Not sure how legit this site is, but according to Dean Blundell Osuna allegedly “threw a few punches and also threw his GF down a set of stairs.”.
He was arrested by 14 division cops (which is Parkdale area):

If thats true thats definitely not cool. It all happened around 2AM so I'm guessing alcohol might have been involved
Is Rogers in a position where they will have to rid themselves of Osuna via a trade or release?

If the Jays were owned by an individual, they may be able to get away with the "we sent him to rehab, sensitivity training, etc" and the public (including SJW's) would flog the owner and everything would eventually blow over (yes this is simplified as I am sure the public backlash would be intense).

However Rogers is a public media company that cannot afford the bad press. This is an organization that released a popular (loved and hated equally) media person in Greg Zaun over a metoo issue. I realize there is a difference between sexual harassment and domestic abuse, however neither one is socially acceptable in today's society.

Rogers is a company that has more at stake than just baseball. They couldn't afford the bad press of Zaun's behavior so how in the world are they going to accept the behavior of Osuna?

Osuna's actions have put Rogers in a difficult position and they will need to make a decision in the very near future on what they will do with Osuna. I am leaning toward's a departure of some sorts.

Vlad doesnt really look very athletic, he's got a beer belly, his butt sticks out and he's got odd looking legs
I gotta be honest and agree with this....LOL :biggrin1:
I'm not saying the guy isnt talented, but his body just looks freakily weird.

Maybe thats a good thing though

Kendrys Morales is having a dreadful season (W.A.R. of -0.9).
Edwin Encarnacion is below replacement level (W.A.R. of -0.2).

With hindsight, the better move would have been to sign neither player.
Edwin is a notorious slow starter.

In the post PED's era, 30+ years old is a risk as players skill set and athleticism can drop off the table quickly. Seems to have happened with Morales.

I didn't know that the Jays are 11GB in the ALE!:der:
Thanks God we have the world cup to get our mind off the Jays for one month this summer. LOL
If the starting pitching can come around, we're actually not doing TOO

It wasn't so much that I gave permission, just that there's nothing I can do about your POV.

Serious question, though. How does one tell whether the players are performing poorly because their heads are not screwed on right or because they are just not very good players?

You can't, that's why it's such a dumb argument. It's impossible to quantify.

Even if you were trying to make the argument the team isn't playing well because the manager doesn't know how to motivate them, how would you know that unless your in the locker room, field, etc, spending time and being so close them?

You can look at it two ways, we saved 30 million by EE rejecting our offer, or we wasted 30 million by signing Morales.

30 usually isn't to bad. It's the 34/35 range where the real drop off seems to be happening.

Can't we just kill this team already??!!!!

Funny thing is, if our starting pitching was even slightly above average we would have a contending team right now.
But we don't, and our starters suck shit, and the whole shitshow is going to hell!!

Goodbye!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Martin will start at shortstop today, and why not? The Jays are 29th in the league in production from the shortstop position.

Based on all the responses, that seems to be the consensus.:eyebrows:
