Yup. Snake that he is. All about personal finances. And the IRS is probably next.

The question now is, is that the end? So far I'm thinking it is.

Warrants such as these are difficult to be issued by the FISA court, and it's orders are highly secretive. Judges grant permission to surveil people, only if they believe the person in question maybe an agent to a foreign government.

LOL! Yeah, judges are above politics.

You don't get wiretapped over personal finances.
Not under a FISA warrant, but certainly if your personal finances have a criminal component you may be. Some of the tax-evasion evidence against Capone came from wire-taps.

That is the hope, and that hope is why the statues of Justice are blindfolded. Although the American fondness for electing party hacks as judges in some states definitely justifies your skepticism.

Yeah, that's why there's such a fuss on the Hill over the judicial appointments. Because the politicians aim for the apolitical judges. Let's be adults for a change, we all know the score.

Whatever gave you that idea? Did you not follow the Gorsuch appointment process?

This wasn't your like when Clinton was being investigated. In that case you thought the judges ordering release of her emails and such were all just upholding the law. Now that it's a Trumphole in the docket you suddenly think that enforcing the law is just politics.

Watching you flip flop on this is like watching a Wimbledon match, my neck is getting sire trying to keep up with your flip flops.

What is a confirmation hearing? A political circus. He may be a constructionist which means that Republicans consider him apolitical. Democrats? Not so much.

OIC, the judges are the bad guys now. Manafort is the good guy. Hilarious, LOL

Which puts the lie to your contention "…that politicians aim for the apolitical judges". The Republicans through some twisted re-definition of the term to suit their Party purposes, and the Democrats …, well because they're Democrats.

Whatever American politicians do when they pick judges, it's sure as hell all political, even if they are sometimes forced to seek candidates whose personal politics are inoffensive, centrist and largely undetectable in their rulings. With Gorsuch, that wasn't necessary as the GOP had the votes and could have installed Attila the Hun if Trump had nominated him.

Republicans support him because he's anti abortion. The Bible belters put him on their list of judges they believed would roll back Roe v Wade, and Trump campaigned on appointing a judge from their list.

Obviously, I was being sarcastic about politicians wanting apolitical judges.

Still, coming back to the thread, someone requested secret surveillance, someone all the way up at the DOJ and the FBI. Someone leaked it, too- a felony. We still don't know why it was granted and why would it be granted during an election campaign. This case stinks to high heaven and the Manafort's possible indictment is but a side story. One thing is for sure, Trump was right about the surveillance at the Trump Tower. Mueller better deliver something relevant or there will be hell to pay, especially if the FISA warrant was based on the "Russian dossier" which we now know to be a fake.
