In all honesty, the raptors arent championship ready but im still cheering and hoping they do. My only wish is for the raps to beat lbj and the cavaliers in a seven game series and shut those american analyst up god damn it! Now that would be really satisfying.

Good come back by the Raptors but why do they seem to always struggle against weaker teams.
Just scratch your head and take the W. Next two games are winnable but don't let the Clippers or Nuggets get a big lead cause you may not be able to come back against them!

Triple double for Lowry!! and give him credit for spotting the problem with the basket!

You do have to scratch your head with this Raptors team. And a lot of things have gone our way this year. So far we haven't had to deal with injuries to DeRozan or Lowry, or multiple injuries like all of our competition.
Brooklyn's shooting is pretty good. They also showed some pretty good length and athleticism on defense. The majority of teams in this league can eke out a win on any given night.

Also kinda scares me when everyone keeps saying we pretty much have 1st place in the EAst locked up. Like Dawgger says, both the Clippers and especially the Nuggets have a chance at win against us, then we still have 2 against Boston and 1 against Cleveland, and the Pacers give us fits too. By the way the Celtics are the back end of a back to back with Cleveland.

Let's just take care of business. I'm pretty happy with the regular season division and conference titles. Then a conference title is still a long ways to go. We have beat some very good teams that give us fits, and stay injury free. Never mind Cleveland or Boston, until its time. NBA champs?...lets not even.....for now..

Yes, win ugly is a win nonetheless. My take on the last week and the run in is the fact that players and the league knows we are elite now and so each team is giving us the Warrior treatment : I.e. We get their best shot. Especially at the end here, it's their last shot at glory fortheseason. Like last night, Brooklyn hasn't played like that in awhile. And now we have two desperate west playoff hungry teams to deal with. But that's the beauty of this year's team and where they're at. As Coach says, we're the hunted now, so this stretch run, while tough, will be great tests for the playoffs. And as an elite team, Raps should be able to handle all of this now and they have since the break. I really think this group is for real and they'll find a way to win somehow each and every time out. It's new for us to be the legitimate top team on the block but we are and the boys are starting to grow into that role. And a little more D will be helpful!

So ya, things will be tight (especially that Celt/ Cav/ Celt stretch) butwelcometo the penthouse! All in all, it's a great ride and I hope there's still great times to come. No matter how it plays out this has been the best rap team to watch since VC days (and I missed those years!) and can't wait to see how this all plays out. Let's go Raptors!!:bolt:

Wow, can't believe how good the lower ranked teams in the West are. I knew Denver was pretty good, but we basically had to play some of our best defense, a high percentage shooting offense, and mid court 2 pointer from Delon Wright to win this game. Mind you, Milwaukee and Miami could both give us fits in the playoffs too.
Between Lowry, Van Vleet, and Valunciunas and Delon Wright we've got probably 60%+ 3 point shooting over the last little while. OG and and Siakam haven't been bad either as of late. I'm not sure Ibaka or DeRozan should be taking them. And hopefully our ace CJ Miles gets his touch back too.

Do you ever think NHL players will do what NBA players do and try to team up for a title ..Imagine Tavares signing a 2 year deal to play with Mathews like Durant did ?

Well hockey is a little different in that aspect. The rotation in the nba is alot thinner and the starters average 35mins a game while in the nhl they have 3-4 lines while the 1st line avevrage 1.30mins per shift about 24mins a game

this Eastern Conference title is going down to the wire. Too many people thinking Toronto had it locked were jumping the gun. Cleveland in Cleveland again will be tough. We must take care of home court against Boston. That's a must. Otherwise we are the push over the Americans say we are. Boston and 3 more at home, then there's Detroit which might as well be at home. Lastly we might need to win a game away at Miami. That's 4-5 out of 6 must wins!!!!

Stuff in sports that irritate me

How the Raptors make the Cavs look like the 96 Bulls when ever they play them ... Really Lowry 2-11 ??? These are the games you earn your all star roster status and your 30 million dollars ...

Well lets find out if there is any resemblance to the "Elite" team everyone(including me) was all excited about when they were kicking ass. Last few games, including the wins, have been anything but "Elite".
They keep playing like they have been and playoffs will be one and done!
Everybody needs to show up tonight!

Lowry eh ... You think a franchise that pays you 30 million dollars could expect you to act like a professional .

I think they just have to set CJ up better to get his clean looks. He's been fighting to get odd shots off, and he takes a full jump shot each time, often leaning in or side to side to get it off. Van Vleet takes a much more compact set shot from 3 point range as does Valunciunas. Same for Derozan. He's too streaky from 3 because he jumps high into each shot with too much variation in his release. Even Lowry has a fairly compact jump shot from 3 each time.

By the way, the Raptors really should throw Nogueira in more often. He really does affect shots in the lane, he altered 3 point shots against Morris, and he even got a deflection causing a steal. I think he was the turning point for us against the Celtics. I was even thinking he should be used for minutes covering Kevin Love. He can alter shots in the lane and if he has to chase Love out to the 3 point line, he has the ability to block or alter his 3 point shot. It seems they only go to Nogueira when both Valunciunas and Poeltl get into foul trouble or are ineffective. I guess if things are going well for those two there's no need, but I think we've found that Kevin Love is definitely a difference maker when we play Cleveland.

Congrats to the Raptors for clinching the #1 East seed. I think the fitting motto now should be #TakeCareOfHome instead of #WeTheNorth.

That was a kick-ass effort. Solid team effort! Ibaka was awesome, need that from him on a consistent basis. Congrats are indeed in order.

Home court advantage through the Eastern playoffs....Huge!
