Another potential blockbuster trade for Raps on the horizon.. Serge Ibaka and OG for Jimmy Butler.
Where did you see that? Jimmy Butler is an excellent player and apparently he is not happy in Minnesota. I don't know why the Raps would make that trade. Ibaka sure but OG has such a huge upside and he doesn't cost a fortune, I don't see it but then. I don't see a lot of things.

Here's something I read that I liked, Leonard has purchased a house in Toronto. That doesn't mean he is will re-sign but it does give one hope!

that would give us a BIG 3 in Toronto if all healthy.

unfortunately that would mean that Kwahi and Butler could both leave. Maybe we don't lose OG. Maybe we give up Siakam instead?

I think the league and the media would see Toronto as a true contender...

Maybe, if you only plan to stay for a year, renting may be a better option. Buying, selling decorating renovating all cost money and can be a royal pain. Long term buying is definitely preferential! As I said, the fact he has bought does not mean he will be back after this year, however, it is gives credence to the thought(hope) that he will.

it was all over Twitter for a day but the source is dubious as it was more of a guess than actual fact. But it was picked up by woj and Shams and got a life for a while. Based on that, OG wasn't part of it with norm the other with draft picks. If Masai can pull that off, he'll be on a roll again! Butler does seem to want a move as he's hating this Timberbulls thing Thibs is doing. Butler here would be a definite step up for this group which, if Leonard and Green do show up, is quite interesting already, even if it's for a year.

^^^^^ The possible trade makes more sense to me with Ibaka and Norm for Butler. If their was a 4 coming back this way as well it would make even more sense. Think Masai would need to dump some salary if he picking up Butler figuring he could sign him.

That millionaire question, IMO, it would not be about money, it would be which will cause me the least aggravation!

Too crazy to come true ... Jimmy Butler can fetch more then that can't he ? The Wolves still have to sign Karl-Anthony Towns to a 30 + million dollar contract and so why would they take Serge Ibaka bad contract ? Curious if they are shopping Lowry .. He is going to be a head case the season .

Interesting take on Lowry, my impression is he just wants to win! I know he and DD were tight but he and Rudy Gay were also tight and that trade did not effect him negatively. As long as Leonard does not become a head case and plays to expectations I think Kyle will buy in.

BTW we are all waiting for you to start the NEW thread!

I think the issue we have to remember about Kawhi is that he is a quiet guy and most of what we "know" is actually second or third hand information and speculation.

Someone pointed out that he said he wanted to play in California and others assumed that meant the Lakers.

What we do know is that he butted heads with the Spurs. Right or wrong we don't know.

Think you are right on! Raptor management seems to have it figured out too, no big introductory press conference, brought in a coach he liked from the Spurs, got his friend Green in the trade as well! Now I think the fans will show him love but give him privacy, just hope the Toronto media does the same.

So who's going to be our defensive threat on the inside this year? Is Chis Boucher going to be the guy? or is it going to be Eric Moreland? Last year we got weak side help from Ibaka and quite regulary from Poetl ...sometimes even Nogeira. I don't think we really scared anyone since the days of Bismack Biombo. We really need to fill that inside presence this year. Who's going to make it scary to go inside on us?
