...The Process makes a stop here ce soir....there's a bunch of ballers in this Philly group and when they get it together, watch out....hope it's not tonight!.......Quite the way to start this season with two who knows types, the dreaded 6 game western swing (early this year!) and then Hawks and Bulls again for the first tenner......no letdown tonight plus Philly on a BtB and head out west 2-0......if they get through first ten 6-4 it will be okay...At least we will have competition tonight after that intrasquad game with the Bulls ..!

Pretty easy win for the Raps. 76ers looked disorganized. JV sprains an ankle, have not heard how long he is expected to be out. Bruno played, his stats aren't exciting. Bebe just missed a double-double. So does anyone know how good the Raps are or aren't after games against two pretty inept teams? Western trip, probably without JV, should give us an indication how battle ready the back up big men are!

Can somebody tell Lowry you wanted 30 million and your playing like a veterans minium type of player
Its been less than a handful of games. Two games he didn't even have to play in the 4th quarter. Let him get settled in and figure out how much he'll have to pass and how much he is needed to drive and shoot. I'm not worried about Lowry unless he gets hurt. One of these days Powell is going to finish on all those aggressive drives to the basket and he'll be a real factor. Powell and Wright will be the backcourt of the future. OG will be a force at the 3 spot. Its the 4 and 5. Poetl does actually look like a better future option at the 4 or 5 than JV, and I'm not totally discounting JV. The depth of this team might be better than the days with Vasquez, Hansborough, Sweet Lou and Chuck Hayes coming off the bench. That year our bench kept us in the games too.

The bench has been, at worst, decent to date. My concern is how good will they be once teams get to look at videos etc. and dissect them. That is when you know what you have. Remember Siakim last year, started a number of games and looked real good, then teams found his weaknesses and he is riding the pine. Give the young guns 10 games or so and then we will have a better idea as to their ability. They could also improve as they get use to playing with each other and playing at NBA speed.
Golden State tonight. Hope they keep it interesting!

I thought pre-season is where you figure out things ... Oh yea stars sit most of preseason games .. For close to 30 million dollars he had all summer to think about it .. But I will take your advice and just see ... Sorry Lowry has an unlikeable personality and when he is collecting 30 million that means he gets a smaller rope .

Raps lose to Warriors by 5! 3 point shooting Warriors hit 46.2% Raps 23.5%. Memo to Masai, if you want to play the 3 point game, find some guys that can hit the 3 pointer with some consistency!

Powell has to score more than 2 points if the Raps are going to win. Nice game for Siakim, hope he can continue.

GS 10-0 run to finish game and KLo & DD go 0 for 4 in that stretch......JP with an outstanding game especially in that fourth....again, early goings but it does seem that starters need work while bench is surprisingly efficient......that OG could be this year's find if he keeps the trend line moving up....JV would have been a factor tonight positively... All in all, still lots to look forward to but short term this road trip has to get some wins somehow...lets go Raptors!

Was watching the WS game and the Raps, never saw the end of either. Was asleep in the Lazy boy before the half. What I did see was a lot of missed 3's by the Raps. and every time it looked like the Raps were going to make a move GS sank a 3 or two and they stopped the Rap's run. There was no one on the Raps team hitting with any consistency. Need another outside shooter or two.
You are right about JP he has improved dramatically from a year ago. Double double last night. Like OG as well, think he will improve as he gains experience. Don't think he is 100% healthy yet either. This team is a work in progress and it may take a while before they gel!

So far both losses coming against the spurs by 4pts and warriors by 5. Might also add they were on the road. I'd say thats pretty damn good. Never expected them to win these 2 games anyways but at least keep it competitve which they did. On another note the cavs gets crushed by the magic and lose to the nets last night.

If I were a Raptor's fan and I had the Spurs Roster I would be saying WTF we got nobody but a PF but put Pops in charge and the Spurs only undefeated team ... The Cavs have the highest payroll but it seems Lebron has to carry his team to victory every night . I think Cavs might underrate the loss of their PG ..

Imho. Trade Lowry immediately for Eric Bledsoe. It was reported that Lowry was doing everything in his power to join San Antonio but POP was not interested... Plus Delon Wright seems to have lots of upside in the new raptors culture

Why would Toronto want Bledsoe and why would Phoenix want Lowery?
Wright does have a lot of upside but needs time to develop it.
Have not looked up salaries but I am pretty sure Bledsoe doesn't make 30 million a year so the numbers probably negate the trade.
If your source for the San Antonio story is the Toronto Star, probably another slow news day with a deadline to make! I follow the Raptors fairly closely and never saw that. I did see his name linked to Houston and Philadelphia.

Agreed the salries of Lowry and Bledsoe dont match. However KLO resigning with the Raptors is like a bad marriage... KLO has issues playing defense with all the faster than average PG's in the nba. Plus his game is ISO ball which RAPS are moving away from. Lets see how he does against the rookie tonight...

You can't trade Lowry immediately .. why is this even a discussion .. It is against NBA rules ...

Oh by the way ... Lowry is playing like crap and doing it getting paid 30 million . We might have to wait till his next contract year before he starts giving some good play .. Who were the Raps bidding against when they gave him 30 million . I do think one of Masi bad qualities is giving out bad contracts .

...but it was not a overwhelming tripdub as his offense is still trying to find a groove. Lakers outplayed them for two quarters and even until the middle of 4th. Again at the end, started into iso mode again. Almost coughed it up again but as it was said, thank goodness they don't have a curry or a durant! 3 straight road games where the last 4 minutes have been ugly. Boys need to buy in in those last minutes to what they did all game. Oh well, things to work on.......

btw, Lonzo and the rest of those young ones are ahead of philly I think and given development positives will be dynamite sooner than later....

Agreed tripdub and a win. I'm a Raptors fan and I want to see my team win. However KLO is not playing like a 30M NBA PG... Hopefully its just a lingering injury but I can visibly see DW is more impactful than KLO...
