A recent Global News investigation provided a rare glimpse into the life of an alleged former jihadist who is back in Canada, living freely in Toronto.
The Pakistani-born Canadian citizen graduated from a Toronto high school in 2012. He then moved to Pakistan to go to university and began attending a mosque affiliated with an Islamist terrorist group.
His mosque told him to join the jihad, so he travelled to Syria and took up arms with Islamic State (ISIS). He became an officer in ISIS’ so-called “morality” police.

ISIS practices draconian Sharia law. His job was to enforce it.
Under ISIS rule, thieves have their limbs chopped off and women are beaten for talking to men or not completely covering their faces.
Men accused of homosexuality are throw off rooftops.
Apostates — those who are disloyal or questioning of Islam — are publicly executed. The morality police impose these medieval punishments and uphold this cruel set of laws.

Eventually, this ISIS officer with ties to Canada became scared and decided he no longer wanted to be a jihadist.
So, he fled in the middle of the night, making his way to Turkey, where he was arrested and deported to Pakistan.
In an interview with Global, the man said he was in Pakistan for two years before coming to Canada.

In the summer of 2016, he hopped on a flight to Pearson Airport and “went through a passport check without any trouble. He told the immigration officer he’d been in Pakistan.”
So this man lied to border agents to enter our country, but was able to breeze back into Canada.

The only reason authorities became aware of this former ISIS agent’s presence in Canada was due to a social media post he wrote about how he had once been part of the terrorist army.
Even after that, Canadian officials merely paid him a visit and began monitoring him more closely.
He wasn’t arrested or detained.
He wasn’t charged with treason or put on trial for any alleged crimes he may have committed while imposing ISIS’s evil Sharia law.

He’s a free man. And according to the Global report, he’s living quite well — “in a spacious house with a satellite dish and a two car-garage”.
When it comes to dealing with jihadists, Canada’s meek approach is making all Canadians vulnerable.
First, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau pledged to restore Canadian citizenship to a convicted terrorist and mastermind of the Toronto 18 terror plot.
Then, he doled out $10.5 million to a convicted terrorist found to have killed an American soldier, who was seen on videotape building bombs that may have killed others.
Now, Canada has allowed a former ISIS member to enter Canada, undetected, and even when he outs himself on social media, our authorities do almost nothing.

Being soft on terrorism is an understatement. Canada accommodates terrorists. We go out of our way to help them.
It seems Trudeau would rather try to understand terrorists and help them change, than take their threats seriously.
At a time where European countries are finally starting to crack down on Islamist terrorists, and nations like Finland are revoking citizenship, Canada is heading in the opposite direction.

We’ve been lucky so far, and have thwarted major terror plots on our own soil.
But that doesn’t make us immune to the threat of a deadly terrorist attack in Canada.

So, are you saying you support your governments position or is your ad hominem attack simply a dodge?

I agree he should be locked up, but now we have this politically correct stooge, that will have us end up like Europe. At least with Harper dual citizens that were terrorists were kicked out, Trudeau changed the law, now they're fully Canadians and they can stay as much as they want.

Don't be such a snowflake, spreading your rabid Islamaphobia in thread after thread. By my count, Christian terrorists have killed more Muslims in Canada than vice versa. Have you been interviewed yet ?

Trudeau, just like Dad. Letting everyone in and they'll all be given free hand outs and ruin things for everyone else who worked for what they have. The tradition continues.

This is an interesting article about the guy itself who is receiving counselling from Mubin Shaikh a former radical who helped in the arrest of potential terrorists in Canada. Remember the Toronto 18 who were arrested before that carried out a terrorist attack in Canada? This guy has already been questioned by CSIS and may help in identifying more potential terrorists as well as provide vital information about ISIS that could help eradicate them. Obviously, the right wing have to blame Mr. Trudeau for everything. That is nothing new.

Seems like fuji and wiglee have an issue with Canada prosecuting ISIS terrorists. That's odd.

They would prefer Canada give them a reward for their actions.

Again it is up to CSIS and the FBI to have grounds to arrest them. I think that they have more relevant evidence then anyone on this board as well as the PM. No doubt Mr. Trudeau would not object to them being arrested. Two years in his reign and the only terrorist attacks were carried out by the racists. Wonder how many racists who are still potentially threatening to carry out attacks on Muslims will be arrested?

On that last bit I think you're talking about pre-crime?

Oh really?

Perhaps you don't count these as "terrorist attacks" seeing as they were not large scale and didn't (thankfully) result in death. other than one of the terrorists. However LE and justice officials differ with your opinion.

Focused action on behalf of the FBI thwarted a major tragedy/stopped a potential large-scale terrorist attack:

August 10, 2016 - Aaron Driver was killed in Strathroy, Ontario, in a confrontation with police after detonating an explosive in the back seat of a taxi. The confrontation followed a tip from the FBI that Driver had made a "martyrdom video" and was planning an attack on an urban area.

June 03, 2017 - Rehab Dughmosh began swinging a golf club at employees and a customer while uttering threats. was reportedly wearing a niqab and a bandana adorned with what appeared to be a symbol for IS at the time of the alleged incident.

Police said employees and customers managed to subdue the woman and contact police, after she pulled a “large knife” out from under her clothing.

I have no issue with Canada prosecuting ISIS terrorists. In fact I think we should increase the budget for intelligence operations to infiltrate their organizations more aggressively.

In the US the right move would be to slash the military budget and give more money to DNI to defeat terrorism. DNI would actually use the money to protect the US, the excess budget in the military is being used for something else.

All of which pale in comparison to the act of right wing terrorism by Bissonnette.

I'm pretty comfortable that the intelligence apparatus in the US is well funded, in fact I'd guess it's the best funded intelligence organization in the world. Another silly distracting post.
