Going after "dreamers" is the wrong thing to do. To be honest, going after anyone other then criminals is a waste of time and effort in terms of value.
Absolutely, secure your border...including the damn wall if that's what it takes. Then grant citizenship to everyone still in the country (except criminals), who has been in the country for at least a period of five years.

Reagan did that (except for securing the boarder) - it didn't work. Bush wanted to do that but the GOP wouldn't let him.
I'd do a path to citizenship, after the boarder is more secure, with a heavy fine (say $10k) to make breaking the US immigration law sting a bit. Trumps plan on Dreamers worked, he didn't have to defend an unconstitutional Obama overreach and will deliver a bipartisan permanent solution.
