Paradise by the dashboard light.
Should be interesting...

"Anyone looking up to the sky in Toronto between 1:10 and 3:49 Monday afternoon — with the right safety glasses, of course — will see a dark shadow obscuring a part of the sun, with the small bit that's visible appearing as a crescent. "

Anyone else find Rachel Ward Maxwell attractive in a nerdy sexy way?. I do, I'd do her!

The Real one for the GGHS is in another six years, four months and 13 days (after Monday).

The 'Total Eclipse' can be more interesting indeed, but the 'Partial Eclipse' would have to suffice for now to get those damn eclipse glasses out the door. It really does make Amazon happy.

How do you test the authenticity of these glasses? A lady bought a bunch on Amazon and they are all fakes.

A lot less expensive, an index card, a pin hole (you can wiggle the pin around) in the same and a sheet of white paper onto which to project the image of the sun.

So if I take a pair of binoculars and look straight into the sun I can see the eclipse much better then, right??

Yes, but you'll burn a permanent hole in your retina.

I can't say this often enough. Don't trust those glasses you buy on Amazon or the Dollar Store. Not worth the risk.

Back in the 6ix
I'll watch the feed from the Weather Network... they are down south in the 100% visibility path while we are in the 50% area.. no need for glasses plus I get the best view.

Flip your phone camera to front facing then turn your back to the sun and watch the eclipse on your phone screen.

I think you might burn out your phone's camera that way. I wouldn't risk it.
Phone cameras are wide angle, it's safe to point them at the sun during an eclipse or at any other time.

Don't do that with a zoom lens on a real camera which will focus the sunlight on the sensor like a magnifying glass.

Downside is that as a wide angle lens the sun is going to look very small on your camera screen.
