Paradise by the dashboard light.
Seems odd. How can they drive or sell a car like that. These cars are often noisy when started.
Collectors pay big bucks at auctions for an iconic classic car like this one, but depending on the bids, he may just get more from insurance. What puzzles me is how he just left the car key on the seat, he thought it was no big deal since the doors were closed. After this incident, he then installs a security camera and garage door lock...hmmm little too late for that now. He claims he had over $100,000 worth of goods stolen in the garage. I'm sure the insurance company will have lots of questions.

According to the Barrett - Jackson Auction Company, the price for a 57 Chevy in mint condition is worth almost that much.

super weird.

i think the guy didnt want to sell his classic car. this is key.

he probably wanted everyone to think it was stolen. so what he did was. he had a friend steal it. put it on the low for awhile. collect his insurance money. then after five years. bring it back out when everyone forgot about it. if someone asks him about it. he'll just say he bought another one or fixed another one up. also, change the vin number in case of investigation. just as easily as swapping a license plate for when u get two or three cars and dont want to go through the paperwork bullshit.

bingo. the man just made 75000 through insurance.

thats like easily half the payment on a house.

what a scheme!

how many stolen car claims can you make through insurance before they start wondering?
