So I got fed up with paying insane money to buy ink refills for my Brother Ink Jet Printer and decided to try Costco ink refilling.

Printing head promptly screwed up.

Don't know if it's a co-incidence, or the non factory ink did the damage.

Either way, could not rectify the problem by switching back to OEM ink and cleaning the head (many many times.)

Buyer beware.

I didn't know costco refills your cartridges. I have 2 inkjets , but don't use them because I don't do color. Someone gave me a hp laser (black only) and I've done thousands of copies, you can get the toner for 50 bucks....its much more worth it. These days you can get a laser for cheap.

The guy I bought my Brother printer from gave me a code to enter that makes the printer do a super cleaning. I use the Fuzion brand of aftermarket ink cartridges. I have only had trouble with 1 of them. They are about half the price of genuine Brother cartridges.

I go to the malls or flea market and have them top up the ink for around $15 - 20 for the black and colour cartridges.
