Just watched his alternate universe defence of Nazis, KKK, white supremacists and the alt right and it was truly shocking.

The shocking part was his undying passion, his emotion and his utter conviction in defence of these hate groups.

Cannot see how he will be able to survive.

America wake up.

Can someone post the whole press conference video as it truly shocking.

Was that when his investigators were in Hawaii examining Obama's Kenyan birth certificate?
take that up with Hillary whose campaign started the birther movement and pass around a doctored picture of Obama in African garb in 2008

Getting a bit desperate? You had better stuck with the Russian narrative. All through the campaign Trump was accused of being a racist. Did not play very well. Turns out most Americans are quite reasonable people. But, keep trying. The more unhinged his enemies become, the better he looks.

Trump eyes appeared to well up with tears when he talked about the statutes of Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson eventually coming down.

He emphatically emphasized that many good people were among those carrying torches, automatic rifles, clubs and other weapons and chanting 'Jews will not replace us', 'You will not replace us', blood and soil' and 'whose streets, our streets' taking part in the protest that strategically went off it's permitted course and entered into the University of Virginia campus. Of course they were looking for a confrontation.

He also compared George Washington and Thomas Jefferson to Confederate leaders.

Trump clearly ran off script today and blurted his true opinions - opinions which run counter to the feelings of the vast majority of Americans. If he continues down this path, I foresee total alienation from the GOP and little resistance to an impeachment vote in the months to come.

The speech tends to suggest that his Saturday speech was not simply "pandering to his base", but rather an expression of his real feelings about race and culture. He may really be a crazy old bigot and not just a huckster playing one on TV.

On the contrary, the speech today was pretty surreal. Trump's random rants about Venezuela, transgender servicepersons, Charlotteville and a number of other topics - all without liaison with any appropriate government departments or any suggestion of even the most basic executive planning - are getting Caligula-esque.

I get around.
Too bad this didn't come out before the G20 meeting.
Trump's message is, "If citizens would allow armed Nazis and KKK to march along the streets of their towns unimpeded, there wouldn't be all this violence".

Yeah I can't see any good coming from Republicans associating with the nazi president. Trump insulted a lot of them during the primaries and even after getting elected. This is the best opportunity they've had to turn on him, so far.
And I say "so far" because it's obvious that with Trump there will be more, and it will be worse.

If you just look back at Trump's latest political career, it started with the racist lie that since Obama is black he must be from Africa. His campaign continued the racist rally and launched with frightening visions of Mexican rapists and Muslim fundamentalists flooding into "our" country.

Really the only surprise is that there were people unaware of his sympathies.

There are 6 more Executives from the Trump Council who have resigned. There are many Republicans who have called him out on his disgusting remarks today.

They are afraid of boycotts of their businesses. This is about money, not principles.
