The real story is that when he was interviewed by Jade Tapper during the campaign, he was clearly asked what his views were regarding the endorsement by David Duke and the KKK. His response was, " I do not know who David Duke is as well as this KKK". He clearly refused to distance himself from the KKK. It is only after the CNN revealed how Trump in his past interviews when Duke was running as a candidate in an election did Trump condemn him then. Now when that blatant lie was exposed did he change his stance and then started distancing himself from David Duke and the KKK. I watched both the CNN and Fox coverage. As usual Fox precisely said what was indicated in your link. Trump said in no uncertain terms that the "good guys of the right were demonstrating peacefully last night". So CNN played out who exactly these good guys were, and they were the Neo-nazis carrying those torches and chanting the disgusting Anti-Jewish slurs. No wonder David Duke thanked him for his support.
