At 2 high rise condo building in the market area.They have isntall a new security system,for those with no access card/key.
They will motorated from when you punch the key bord the num. for the unit your going to.
Every elevator door,halway,stairs have camera ,so they know where your going.
Its a very sofisticate system.
They will know how much people whent to each unit,the date,time of day.
And keep in file.
So how i know ,my company.was call to quote on that job.

Can you elaborate? Who are *they*? Condo board or security firm contracted by condo board to provide security for the buildings or perhaps both?

This has potentially serious privacy issues, has it been approved by the condo board? and what's the rationale for installing this system? A lot of break & enter (B&E) in these buildings or too many visitors?

A lot of unanswered questions here but definitely thank you to Peter to bring this to light.

Yes, I do believe his question was going a bit too far, but, at the same time, it wasn't more than a location rather than all kinds of info that could lead back to Peterxxx.

And, yes, I am creating problems by pointing out that your questions are unreasonable, unnecessary and uncalled for. I might also add very risky for Peterxxx to respond to. Think about it dude!!!

OK now we are talking like mature adults and not calling each other names or insert unnecessary jokes.

Peter himself ended his post with the following *my company.was call to quote on that job.* Take a moment to think about it. Do you think my questions and his answers (if he chooses to do so in public, he can always send a private message) will do more harm to him than what he already stated?

My questions to Peter are quite generic (who would have access to the cameras and what's the reason behind the decision) whereas he went into more technical details in his post. You can take it for what it is worth but I will wait for Peter to chime in. I have the rights to pose legitimate questions on a topic I am interested in and Peter has the rights to not answer those questions, if he so chooses. You obviously have the rights to put in your 2 cents as well but it does not mean I agree with your opinions.

I think Peter's point was that this is happening in buildings all over. Maybe he gave a bit too much info by saying his place of employement was involved. I can see now why he won't want to specify the exact buildings.

Point being this is happening all over now and thanks for the warning.

Peterxxx - can you comment on if these 2 buildings are under same ownership/management/brand? If yes, that'll really narrow down the locations. Not that many high-rise condo buildings in the Byward Market when you think about it and my hunch is that these are fairly newer buildings which have the built-in capability & infrastructure to install something like this...

Agree with WIR...this is just condo building security...not sure what the big deal is, many buildings already have video security. I think 100% (of close) of the city spas are recording you when you enter...

I think the bigger risk is to the SP hosting there, the condo security can now look at how many people go to the unit and at what times of day. If there is a complaint from another tenant there will be evidence.

They would have no proof that money was exchanged or that you partook in any sexual activities. Visiting a location where an SP lives in not against the law and I would think that intent is not worth their efforts to pursue. I do appreciate him letting us know of this project however.
