If populations in all major consumer based nations begins to decline, how will that impact real estate, industry, manufacturing, retail, etc? Are we looking at a worldwide endless cycle of recessions and depressions in the future? Will large swathes of land either in the burbs or urban landscapes be left to rot when they become depopulated? Will people move into or outside of city cores?
