If I was in the upper reaches of the Republican party, the election being so close despite the district being long time GOP stronghold and the Dem's candidate being from outside the district would worry me about 2018.
A year to have many things happen one way or the other. No doubt they could lose a few house seats.

But there are also some vulnerable Dem Senate seats up as well. In very GoP states.

In the end it's too early to worry about them. They need to get some legislation through and accomplish things. The Dems have a lot of issues on their plate as well.

Nancy Pelosi being first.

I do enjoy seeing you so happy.
Do you do your rounds to trigger or is it for the love of tears?
Thanks, same back. I read but if I want to trigger them all I have to do is leave a tweet on Trumps feed. They start trolling, trolling, trolling. Its funny but sad at the same time. They really have a lot of hate.

LOL. Thanks this was good. Highly enjoyed that

Kathleen is has nothing to do with Trump, it has everything to do with Nancy Pelosi being incompetent.

She tried to score political points in the face The Great Depression II. For that the Dems got crushed in the 2010 mid-terms. A consensus for the good of the nation has to be reached, that won't happen with Pelosi around. In fact most of the dinosaur obstructionist politicians need to be canned, Pelosi is a start.

And trump is a serial lying Quisling, fuck him!

Most troubling for the Dems is that this is a well educated middle class district that Trump won by a small margin. If they can't close that gap with a 6-1 spending advantage and a moderate candidate......

…they'll just have to do better next time.

On the other side, the Republicans have nothing to cheer about, having given up the multi-point lead their man Price enjoyed, before being elevated to Secretary of Health by their 'popular' President. It's almost as if they were being punished by the voters.

Americans are a proud people; they don't believe in over-taxing the rich whether they themselves will benefit from it or not.

Even if they are struggling, they'd rather have the opportunity for a better job, or for healthcare/college to naturally become cheaper via the free market and less regulations/intervention, than receive a handout.

There something to be admired in that imo.

When have healthcare or college or any other thing that people do for each other to earn their living become cheaper via the free market? And why haven't those under-taxed rich people made markets free, if they're such a good thing for all?

Americans have much to be deservedly proud of, but nothing you have said here relates to that. Or the topic.

Perhaps you're lost?

Much as some people admired the charge of the light brigade!

I looked it up, it's been Republican for almost forty years, Newt Gingrich's old safe seat. Winning was existential for the GOP, losing it would be Armageddon for the them. Nobody thought the Dems would ever have a shot at this seat until Trump showed up.

Oh, and forty years ago when Democrats did win it, it was held by states rights secessionist Dixiecrats.

Boy do you tell tall tales!

The rich are not under taxed in the US.

Since you are in a research mood you should explore the trends and demographic changes in that district. Trump won it by just a point or two.

Lots of Republicans disliked Trump. He isn't the most unpopular President in history only for pissing off registered Democrats.
