My personal favourite, Partagas Serie D No. 4. For something a little longer a Montecristo No.2.

In terms of Dominican cigars the best are Artuo Fuente. They have many lines that are famous such as the Opus X and Hemingway. If you can find the Hemingway work of art Maduro you are in for a special treat.
Bellissima vitola, compare!

Never had the maduro, but I remember thinking the natural was one of the finest smokes I'd ever had, whenever I smoked it.

Anyways, is there a cigar bar anywhere in Toronto? I always wanted to go but it seems like cigar bar only exists in asian and America
Not that I know of. If I understand Smoke Free Ontario legislation correctly, smoking indoors in workplaces is verboten. No exception for shops that exclusively sell tobacco products or if you wanted to open up a "cigar bar."

I'm not even sure if there are still private membership clubs that allow it anymore.

I enjoy Cohiba's, the long burn Robusto and Esplandido are two of my favorites. Nothing like a good cigar on the golf course and the few annual trips up north with the guys, fishing and such. Those are pretty much the only times I indulge, except for maybe a couple over Christmas season.

I really like Romeo y Julieta brand as well.
I like all the ones you mentioned too!

There's another brand from Cuba. Not sure if it's Robusto but the cigars have a figure of an old man with a hat on their label. Starts with an R.

Hmmm.

Ramon Allones and Romeo y Julieta both start with R. Both great brands.

Vegas Robaina's bands contain a big-R. The box certainly has a man with a hat on them (it's Alejandro Robaina, a famous and now deceased tobacco farmer).

can anyone recommend a cigar shop in the downtown area?
The Casablanca tobacconist, two locations on Yonge St, around King St. Father Murtaza and son Saud. Further up, around 700 Yonge, there is Bashir at Metro Cigar. On McCall, and Beverly, you have Cheers, with Peter and Justina.
