Always amazing how obnoxious people have become and the need for bystanders to whip out their phones to record said bad behavior.
What about all the people who post things on the Internet clearly showing how stupid they are for their 15 seconds of fame.

At least in this story, it was clear for all to see that the woman was the only one displaying poor behavior. For the bystanders who stood up to her, good for them. Too bad her child was there with her because for all the shame she has brought on to herself, it would have been far worse if the video was clear with her face fully visible.

I know this thread is about the patient from hell but to be fair there are also doctors from as well. Here are just two examples.

I wonder if there would be same sense of outrage if a black person asked for a black doctor?

Or a Muslim woman demanded to see a Muslim doctor?

The reason I ask is because I have to wonder when I read the news about a black graduation from the University of Toronto. Imagine the outrage if it was a white graduation. It's baffling to me that any black person would want their kids to be in a black or "Africentric" school. So many people fought so hard for equal rights and yet a lot of black people think that this is a good idea. George Wallace must be laughing in his grave right now.
Believe me...more black people agree with you than disagree with you.

You missed my point, check out SkyRiders posting history. About 75% of his posts are made-up non-sense.

He takes common/obvious information and either 1) poses a pretend to be naive (stupid) question or 2) twist it into a anti-whatever statement. If you follow his posting history (I'm cursed with a good memory) over the years and many handles, you would be left rolling on the floor laughing. I enjoyed his story about the strippers that would give him 10 free dances in the VIP because it was less boring for them than working the floor. -OR- Strippers would come to his house and dance for him because it was more comfortable than the VIP -OR- his latest, he's a Sikh warrior in another life.

You nailed it!

I don't think anyone posted messages suggesting that all doctors are saints. What they did is wrong as well. One difference those doctors could be charged and or lose their licence etc. What will happen to this lady?

Maybe the clinic can ban her? Technically, I don't think she broke any law. She was setup and angry and went a bit apeshit. (BTW: We see certain members of this Board go apeshit all the time.)

Correction: "UPSET" not setup.

I read that this morning and thought the same thing. Why is exclusion ok if the people are anything other then white people? I will never understand that. Everyone wants inclusion from white, but the option to excuse whites when wanted???? Sounds like a cake and pie wanting syndrome to me.

Pretty sure access to medical care is a right. As much as I disagree with her throwing a racist tantrum shouldn't bar you from a clinic. If you posed a threat of harm or block the clinic from being able to do their job then yes ban her but that wasn't the case.

of course, there are Chinese people insisting on Chinese doctors and there are Persians insisting on Persian doctors but that is okay...
In principle, I don't find anything wrong with preferring to deal with someone of your own race be it physician, dentist, accountant, etc. That's your choice and right. But this lady was at a walk in clinic so she has to work with what is available. If the clinic does not have a doctor of her preference be it white, female, etc. she's free to go to another clinic and wait her turn. I take issue with her making a huge fuss about being asked to wait or come back at 4 pm. The son seems to be walking fine in the video so it's likely not an emergency.

My home, my car, my cubicle
Though I'm not in the medical field, I come from a family of doctors, pharmacists, dental hygenists and nurses. Allow me to tell you how you should select a doctor.

1.) What med school they went to - If given a choice between a doctor from Northern Ontario Medical School or the Aga Khan University in Pakistan, go with the graduate from Aga Khan.

2.) Foreign doctors have a better clinical approach - Clinical approach means they talk to you, and examine you more; the reason for this is back in their countries tgey don't have the luxury of testing facilities like we do here.

3. Note their office - If their office is clean, organized and their office staff is competent, they are likely good doctors. Take a look at the people waiting to see the doctor, if they appear to be educated and well put together then the doctor is likely good.

4.) Dont go by friendliness - Doctors are pressed for time, if a doctor is nit chatty, but is curt and to the point that is him/her trying to be efficient and address the concern without getting emotional.

Now these are not hard and fast rules, but just some inside knowledge I've picked up in a family of medical professionals.

A person asking for a Dr. of a specific gender makes sense based on comfort level or religious grounds. Asking for a doctor that speaks your primary language makes sense. I would hope anything else would be equally shit on.

On the other hand, the black "graduation" is actually a celebration held by a student club, not a graduation. It's not more racially exclusive than Pride is for gays only. Afro-centric schools are not segregated; IMO no different than an arts focused school. Both are much ado about nothing.
