In my younger years Pigale's was the place to be and I was always told that this club was an older crowd. I guess times have changed. during afternoons "Candy" is always a pleasure and yes...she has told me in the past that Wednesday's are popular because of the buffet. When i have had the odd Thursday or Friday afternoon in the past two years or so...Delicieuse always gravitates towards me. Not sure if its due to my dress code or the fact she can speak all french with me and the conversation flows but either way this woman is very sensual and open. Friday & Saturday nights...lately there have been lots of new girls but the aforementioned brown haired "Ashley" seems to be quite a draw. Perhaps given the mileage she seems to offer in the CR and the other girls are quick to comment about. Last summer I saw "Kate" alot. she dances to "du hast by Rammstein and holds herself up to the ceiling so she'll stand out.

Dropped into the 'Mate on Wednesday afternoon (6/28) around 2:15 or so as the weekly buffet was being cleared away. Overall atmosphere was not too busy, but fairly active until about 3:00 or a bit later. Noticed many of the regulars - Candy, Ashley, Martia, Brandy and the voluptuous Adora.
Delicious was also there and looked absolutely stunning on stage and on the floor in a very sexy one-piece that really accentuated her curves. It's been a while since I've been there, so was surprised to see Delicious has gone blonde.
Speaking of blondes (or partial blonde), it was great to see Vegas in the club. Wasn't sure if she was dancing or not 'cause she seemed to be chatting to other dancers in her civvies. Waited for a while for her and she decided to go to the CR in her street clothes rather than taking the time to change into her dancer duds. Always a pleasure to see her.
Overall a great Wednesday afternoon at the 'Mate (at least from my perspective) as three of the sexiest dancers to my eyes were there - Adora, Delicious and Vegas.
Did not see Annika though - I just have very little luck as far as she's concerned it seems.

Thanks for the Wednesday great report on Playmates r__d. Sorry that you missed Annika but I see that you had already plenty of favorites. Btw gents, are bars closed this Saturday? Likely so then I plan to make up for it on Friday between Pigales and Barbs and maybe Playmates too if my wallet permits. I haven't seen one of my favorites (Kim) for a long time.

I just remember that in the original post I forgot to mention Ruby. Ruby is a small girl, relatively fair skin of Persian origin, small and very friendly. I have seen her at Playmates a few times. She is a daytime dancer except Saturday nights when Playmates opens at 4 or 5.

Haven't been to the 'Mate in the evening/latenight for a while so they may be new I suppose. I'm told there is a dancer who goes by the name Lexi who might be so described. There was a recent indication that Fanny was back but not sure if that was an evening or afternoon sighting. My recollection of Fanny from many moons ago is that she would certainly fall into the "chubby blonde" category. In fact, mature, chubby blonde would probably be a reasonable description.
After about a week of little communication with her she texted me out of the blue asking me if I had an old license plate I could give her so that her boyfriend can use to get their car 'back home'. She says she will pay $40 and I will get the license plate back after he is back here. WTF. This sounds sketchy as hell and not something I'd want to get involved in. Be warned guys.
I've heard rumors from a dancer at Barbs that Playmate is pretty unsafe. She switched from dancing there and is now at Barbs...can someone back up these claims? I've never been to Playmate and this could just be a tactic to get me to stick to Barbs.

Playmates is located in Vernier which is likely not the safest neighborhood in Ottawa so walking outside late at night may not be very safe. Some customers are not same as those at Barbs and Barefax or Pigales and most are likely from nearby areas which is again a rough and unsafe neighborhood. This likely holds for dancers too. There was a thin black guy who worked there a long time ago who was harassing young girls but he is long gone and I haven't heard any complains recently on harassment by staff though I haven't been frequenting that bar for a long time, only once every few months as they have lost the ability they used to have (between 1999 to 2005) to attract young beautiful ladies.
They have an upstairs which I have heard is more than private dances may be that was what she meant by not safe though going upstairs is a dancer's choice and nobody is forced. The bar itself is very friendly and patrons know each other for years and decades. Sometimes some rough faces playing games (snooker) near the bar. Not quite sure what "pretty unsafe" is meant to imply but I have to say I've never seen anything untoward happen at the 'Mate, although it's been a few years since I've been there in the evening/latenight. Perhaps things have changed. When I did attend fairly regularly at night (often staying until after 1:00 am) the 'Mate never gave off any "unsafe" vibe in my experience. During the summer months one might occasionally encounter a few, let's say, sketchy individuals on the surrounding streets after midnight but I was never threatened.

I live nearby, I really doubt you would be unsafe walking down the street. However there has been some drug/criminal related elements occasionally present in the PM itself. And a girl was drugged (roofied) in there by a black guy recently, I just happened to be there that night and I don't go very often. So maybe that was what your friend was talking about. TBH I was pretty offended by what happened and the girl concerned stopped working there.
This is terrible. ladies should carefully and all the time watch over their drinks. I hope she takes action against the A-hole and he goes to jail for a long long time.
