Which just establishes it belongs in the always-popular Mental Health Forum†, or as I said with Entertainment in the Lounge. Politics involve meetings and discussion among the like-minded and not so like-minded, and taking rational action to accomplish goals they desire, or forestall outcomes they don't.

Whining about TV shows they don't like is what audiences do as they shrink and turn away or walk out. Or what critics do cleverly and entertainingly in print. Both are Lounge-topics.

I know that, in an era when the President's most important career achievement was lying for money like any other TV performer, it's hard to tell the difference. But these aren't real people in anything like a real world, and no one needs to watch the show. If that's what these fascist wackos are concerned about, and what America is responding to instead of its many dire issues, God help America.

Unlike Star Trek, no one can 'turn off' life, and actually escape politics, religion or international affairs, that's why we don't call those things Entertainment.

Sure. And Roddenberry would have approved. He in fact had tried to have a Female First officer in the original series and was told no.

Considering who they have for the parts I don't have an issue with this.

And thankfully they are using the Klingons as the villains. If they had done this for the last series it would have been a hit I think.

Quite frankly these people aren't fans. The notion goes against Roddenberry to the core.
