Fixed it now make it better please. No more religion in public schools.
No Lord's Prayer, no XXIII Psalm, no Easter, no Christmas, no prayers on Nov 11, and if
O Canada is to be sung, only the godless old lyrics are permissible. No religion means no religion at all. And no reason to close the schools for Good Friday or Christmas Day.
Then someone will look at Ontario's Constitutionally required Catholic schools and demand equal curriculum time, and places for the
objets they venerate, 'cause Catholics have them, whole buildings of them. Way more of them than a weekly half-hour in a computer-lab for sure. And that's because 150 years ago we Canucks decided it was wiser and better to get along tolerantly and respectfully than to spend any more centuries burning each other as heretics, infidels and apostates, (never mind as papists or prods like the Irish). So we bought into and continued the toleration-model the Brits tried out a hundred years earlier, when they gave Quebec's Catholics more freedom and acceptance than their own at home.
It would be wiser and better to do a bit more asking instead of demanding and a bit more tolerating and understanding. That way the prayers can be moved to a room less in demand for its special purpose and we can have fewer idiots pretending to be TV journos.
It's a half-hour scheduling conflict in one room, not a Holy War.
BTW: to disclose: I myself am a heathen, so pronounced by the Vatican which had to sanction my wedding to a Catholic (who wasn't of the Roman sort). My Baptist missionary Grandparents sent congrats. God's joinery fell asunder. The same God has statistically better results operating under both his Jewish and Muslim brands.
