Leafs next captain

It will be Nazem Kadri on point with this whole diversity shit which wreaks in Toronto (sarcasm). Should be Matthews since he is the best player though. I have no problem with diversity but best candidate should always be the victor!

I am no fan of the Leafs but I don't think you can make Matthews captain just because he's supposed to be their big offensive weapon going forward. You need to have someone who's a team leader and commands respect from his teammates, Kadri or Reilly would be a good choice. Matthews will get his chance down the road.

The next Leaf Captain will be a player who wears a "C" on the front of his jersey.

It's not fair to Matthews to put the C on him just yes. If they should go on a losing streak it would be crushing. He's still too young.

The player who should wear the C is the one who leads by example with his work ethic - Uncle Leo. He's old enough to deal with the pressure and he knows how to manipulate the Toronto media. Takes the pressure off of everyone else.
