I tried to switch to Teksavy once... got signed up, scheduled to cancel my regular internet service. They sent me a modem in the mail. Then on the day the switch-over was supposed to happen... nothing. I called them up, they said my account had been cancelled for reasons unknown. They could sign me up but it would take two weeks. TWO WEEKS without internet service. I noped the hell out, sent them their modem back and stayed with my regular service. Don't know what went wrong there, I just got the impression Teksavy is glitchy as hell.

I dropped Rogers; cable, phone and internet . Switched to Teksavvy for internet at least 5 yrs ago . Very happy. Called customer service once ( reset password .... ?) Prompt , courteous.

No internet problems

In my area Teksavvy uses existing Rogers cable. Antenna /OTA for TV. Landline was redundant with cellphone

best bang for your buck. uses the cogeco cable network. they use the same installers. essentially you are buying cogeco but a way better deal.

I was with them for maybe 4 years, I never had problems with them, seemed to be a very nice and honest company to me. I only switched away from them because other ISPs were offering better deals. In the end I wished I stayed with them, I got another year on my rogers contract, once that is over I will probably go back to them.

I've been with them for about a decade. In that time I've only ever had one negative experience and one moderately annoying experience.

The negative experience was when we were exactly 10 cents short and one of their accountants got a little aggressive on the collection. We paid it up, but he was nothing less than ridiculous with how emphatic he was about the whole thing. We're documented referrers, having referred about a dozen people, so while we'd never ask for more than what we're entitled to, a break until the next month seemed reasonable.

I was recently annoyed when I needed to get a password reset for a friend (And one of those named referrals). 45 minutes on hold is a surreal experience.

Otherwise, they're an amazing ISP. They consistently fight federally for better deals, and they're known for passing those deals on to customers. Last year they had a reduction applied to everybody's bills. I own the VDSL Modem I connect with, just as I bought and used my own ADSL modem in the past - no rental fee! I also have unlimited bandwidth.

For me, Teksavvy has been a fantastic deal. Just write your passwords down.

Absolutely the best ISP you can have for your money. NO bandwidth shaping at all and cheapest price, best speeds for your money. I'd recommend them to anyone.

Good Service...always at max speed.
If speed ever does drop, a quick power cycle of the modem fixes it.
They even passed along a rate cut to customers a little while back.
You do not need unlimited package, as downloads between 2AM and 7AM are not counted.
Get yourself an IP Phone service like Freephoneline, and an ATA box so you can use your home handsets, and after a few months it pays for it self and you never pay for phone service again.
