Finally the new season kicks off!!
Let's hope the field is closer this year,as it sure was tiring seeing those 2 Mercedes goofs always in the limelight.
IMHO,anyways.

I'm glad that Ecclestone has finally been given the boot. It astonished me that he was able to convince the teams to go with him to the point where he enriched himself into a multi billionaire. I've been reading that Ferrari is testing very well. As Ferrari goes so goes F1. If they're strong this year there will inevitably be a lot more interest

"Goofs"? That's strong terminology in some parts of the world

I sincerely hope Ferrari is competitive this year, I don't pay attention when they're not.

Ferrari took a hit on its finances due to the cost of building Juventus Stadium. Obviously that debt is now behind them or else they would not have signed Sebastian Vettel. The Agnelli's do want another Champions Cup in their trophy case so it remains to be seen how the new Testarossa will perform.

Loved the race!
Was a bit concerned when Hamilton set the lowest lap time, after coming out from his first stop, and Sebs seemed to be staying out too long before he made his.
But it all worked out.
That pink livery was certainly different, and the orange of McLaren was neat also.
Let's hope Ricciardo has better luck in two weeks.

I was hoping for a better finish for our Canadian Lance Stroll,
This kid is young and been cleaning up since he was 11 in go karts.
Did extremely well in F4 and F3

Lance Stroll, I'll keep an eye on him.

Now that Juventus Stadium is off the books I expect F1 Ferrari to be competitive going forward. Fiat Group remains a very tight knit family with three siblings and one cousin running the holding company. John Elkann is the CEO, cousin Andrea Agnelli has brought Juventus back among the football elite and Ginevra Elkann has her own film company (Dallas Buyer's Club, Silence). The black sheep of the family is Lapo Elkann, he tried to fake his own kidnapping. That's a shame, he's a very talented automotive designer.

YEP, entertaining race.

I am a bit concerned that Bernies "formula" is not going to produce much opportunity for passing.
If you can't follow the car in front of you, through the most important corner on the track, even DRS isn't going to get the job done.

I do like how the tires seem to hold up better, except Hamilton's of coarse, but that may have been caused by his overdoing his attempt to lose the red car.

Incredible. Thanks for sharing. I haven't watched an F1 race in years. I'd like to get back into it. I'm fascinated by these engineering marvels, their performance and the skill of the "piloti".

Magnifico!

It's going to be an intense rivalry this year between Hamilton and Vettel, it may come down to who blinks first.

At Shanghai, Vettel lost when a second yellow flag dropped him to 5th place. At Baharain, Vettel gambled on ultra-soft tires, Hamilton did not. That gave Vettel the speed advantage during the middle laps of the race. Then Hamilton got a 5 second penalty for slowing down too much with Ricciardo behind him in the pit lane. Vettel won the race.

An exciting year for F1 fans.
