I didn't agree with his national anthem protest and I get the feeling (I am not in the locker room) that he became a prima donna after some brief early success..
I respect his right to kneel during the national anthem.
It harms & disrespects absolutely no one.
It's a peaceful act, based on his moral beliefs.
And yet his teammates this past season, his teammates (who
are in the locker room with him) awarded him the Len Eshmont Award at the end of the most recent NFL campaign.
Len Eshmont Award? What's that?
It's a team award, Named after Eshmont, a former 49ers running back known for his “inspirational and courageous play,” the award is voted on by the team to honor the player who embodies those same qualities. Past recipients of the award, which has been given out since 1957, include Hall of Famers Jerry Rice and Joe Montana.
It is considered the most prestigious honour a 49er can receive from the organization.
