Of course it's not right.

Boys have more muscle mass and that gives them an advantage. That's why there are men and women's events.

A boy who feels he is a girl has every right to live their life as whatever gender they prefer.

However, they have no right to compete in sports against biological females since they have a huge advantage. It's not fair.

Didn't click the link but currently watching a story about this. The teen was born a girl but is taking testosterone to become a boy.

Someone remember to turn out the lights

Pretty dumb. But I guess taking testosterone isn't an illegally banned substance.

Or maybe high school athletics don't care about drugs and testing at all, so it's a free for all whatever someone wants to ingest.

Personally, I'm old school for this and think that someone should compete based on their originally documented gender. But also should be banned if they do drugs. So in my world, this person would be banned regardless of which gender they wrestled at. Then again, I don't think high schools go through the hassles of drug testing???? So even though it's obvious she's transforming there's nothing to invalidate her since there's no testing.

On another note, an example like this really puts all the politically correct stuff into a state of hilarious antics. It's pretty obvious someone bulking up on testosterone will be stronger. On one hand, maker her (him) compete as a female makes her win all the time. But changing the rules and allowing someone to compete "at the gender she believes to be" would mean she competes with the guys. But if you do that it leaves the floodgates open to allow any guy "that thinks he's a girl" compete against women and win all the time. Not that any guys would do this for sake of ego and sportsmanship, but I'm sure there will be some guys tempted to mess around and try to compete against females for the heck of it and win for fun.

So you can't have it both ways I guess. lol

I don't feel its right, I don't like when Caster Semanya wins at the Olympics. She doesn't have ovaries and has as much testosterone as a male. Its not ethical.
+++++1 agree. What a f/n Joke!!!!!!! Got to feel bad for those other competitors that trained for their one shot to wind a medal and lose because some idiot dough head made that real stupid bad decision

It's like that South African guy that got to compete in the Olympics races even though he has mechanical synthetic legs. Unfair advantage, but that didn't stop thousands of years of tradition to be wiped out for feel good expediency. Then he ended up becoming a murderer.

Thing is he wanted to compete against boys but the state said no.

There is a huge difference between "thinks he's a girl" and being involved in a medical process to affect that change. But yes, there would be issues if it was the other way around. Since strength/muscle mass is a huge issue in many sports, maybe instead of girls and boys divisions, maybe they need an open class and a girl's division.

Here's a heated topic for you guys :) lol. Does this open the flood gates for Olympic events?

No offence, but from the picture I can't tell which Kid is transitioning and which isnt. Kind of seems like a moot point here.

A couple of fit androgynous kids, one gonna win, one gonna lose. Let them wrestle to their hearts content. Soon enough they'll both graduate with crippling debts and struggle to land a meaningful career. At that point they'll realize this shit never really mattered. Hell, maybe it's a great thing, maybe it will help them realize life isn't always fair.

That being said, the one on floor needs a hug.

Just wrong. But I doubt Lebron James would transition and go play in the WNBA. I doubt there are many athletes that would try to exploit these loops holes in the name of a medal.

I lost track of that story of the track star who might be a man so can't comment on that one.

She went through hell but even gender testing said she is and always has been female. The IAAF tried implementing a policy of determining a maximum testosterone level to be considered female but the policy was legally shut down.

This is just an example of Texas' homophobic rules and regulations coming back to bite them in the ass. This person is transitioning to a boy but Texas will not recognize that and forced him to compete as a girl. Same thing will happen when he needs to piss and has to go the women's can... lock up yer daughters!

It took until the 12th post for this to be presented.
Not the young person's fault at all.
