I know Fred seemed to be quite private and my only direct discussion with him was years ago. However, by having his boards and how they were run was a huge contribution to the industry which hopefully will continue.
With some many good posts on the sticky with some with more personal experiences, I toss out the idea that a memorial page be created if the family would have no objections. Picture would be nice although again he seemed to want some privacy in life but maybe to be recognized in death. There are posts from another sick site about his real name but could be kept private just his FZ persona.
I did a memorial page for Stan Dale when he died in 2007 but would be willing to do one on my toronto site or better yet someone here that knew him more personally here or a link from here to someone's site.
This is what I did for Stan Dale in 2007 after attending his memorial in San Francisco
