it was obvious to me, sadly not very obvious to a few on the board. Now this girl most likely will have men and trust issues, maybe even have a tendency to fall for an abuser herself, thanks to this sick pig.

Jesus Christ, Sophie! No one on here was saying it didn't happen. The debate was whether or not you can automatically judge a guy for feeling something he can't control. If this guy did indeed molest her, as seems likely, then he's a sick fucker who should to be behind bars, as should his wife for allowing it.

That said, he's innocent until proven guilty, and he's probably the easiest target I've ever seen. Hell, even if they can't prove he was guilty, I think knowing you're a paedophile should have precluded him from adoption, in the interest of full disclosure!

Next time listen to the victims, instead of giving a self professed pedo the benefit of the doubt. Trying to say she could have made it up like some posters here. You had a victim that said she was abused by him and you questioned that? There was no debate.

Have you read or researched how many false accusations of abuse have ruined people's lives?

I see the clip of Dr. Phil posted. A few months ago there was a story on Dr. Phil about a female who made the same claims, and they were false. Had there not been a debate, the guy would be in jail innocently, and probably dead because inmates don't tolerate child molesters.

She pretty much ruined her step father's life.

Do you believe that a self professed pedophile is telling the truth and this girl is lying still 10 years later? 1 out of every 5 females are abused in their lifetime.

I didn't say anything remotely like that, and I believe she is telling the truth.

Btw, the other story I mentioned, she carried it on into her late teens before she finally admitted she was lying.

All I stated was you can't automatically take what she is saying for truth until it's investigated.

While on this topic most of us use the term pedophile to describe anyone having sexual relations with or who is sexually attracted to minors, however, technically pedophiles are those attracted to young children, hebephiles are those attracted to tweens and ephebophiles are those attracted to teenagers. My first reaction would be that the later two philias are more common than the first.

There is absolutely a debate! Whether or not it is likely he did what he did, it is a pinnacle of our justice system that he be proven guilty before being punished. There would be no justice system as we know it without that tenet!

Well this is NOT a court room and in the court of public opinion he is most definitely guilty. He's a self proclaimed pedophile, the victim has been medically examined and confirmed to being sexually abused and she is saying he abused her. Other then actually seeing the actual deed on video how much more evidence do you need? Wow

I went back and watched it, as I didn't look at the video portion originally....and yes, the MD said that she suffered abuse at some point in her earlier life.

Now, so I'm clear, I think he did abuse her.

The interesting parts now though, are she stated in her interview that she didn't remember till a few years later? I know someone who was abused, and they never forgot until a few years later. It was always fresh in their memory.

I also wonder about how the MD could determine she was abused at some point in her earlier life.
