    Don't skip screening

My 2 friends have been having a lot of bad calls lately. They dont screen and just book whoever asks, sometimes simply with an anonymous email. They rely on a bodyguard to burst into the room at the call of a safe word. I always at least ask for a bit of info, but what's up with the violent Johns lately? and why do some get a lot of them and some none at all? Im okay , but their stats make me weary ... :/

I'm glad your friend didn't become another depressing murder statistic. It's not that there's an increase in violent Johns per se, but the sadistic bastards have always existed. While I'd like to think that the majority of us men that frequent the industry are harmless perverts that just want a little erotic fun with an attractive fantasy lady, there are some men out there that are irredeemable, twisted, and incapable of getting a woman to like them. They in turn become angry, bitter and violent towards women, and their chosen recourse is to try and take it out on people that can't defend themselves, like providers whom the law forces to operate in the shadows.

I'm glad your friend has bodyguards, and I sincerely hope they fucked the bastards up... permanently.

Take care and best of luck to you in your endeavours. Be safe!

It's always good to screen new clients. Though, sometimes, even regular clients can change over time into jerks. And that itself can be harder to gauge, depending on how much the SP is familiar with that client and is in tune enough to notice in the short window she meets up with the client but before they get it on. It's not easy to be on constant vigilance during something which requires the SP to relax in a certain way.

No problem with SP's asking for references but there is a chicken and egg problem.
I emailed one new SP Heidi Cameron but she wants references. But I am a newbie customer so I have no references.
How do I get a reference if I have yet to see an SP?
If I see someone who doesn't ask for references then how can she be a legit reference.

See an agency girl who's has a separate contact like a twitter, see her and ask her to be a reference for you or book your Indy for social time in a public setting like a coffee date.

Some ladies have 30 min and 1 hour social dates for this reason. The fee usually goes towards your booking for private time as well.

I always think of references as kiss and tell.........and using references as being why are you not
calling me am I not good enough........didn't you like me......

I have had to produce a picture ID for a reputable escort one time just to access her website

and one escort reputable even wants to call your employer as a reference if you don't give a provider reference
some of my previous sp I have used are retired and cannot be used as a reference anymore

safety first is a priority and foremost I agree .........but in the past I was lucky that SP hear my
tone of emails of being polite and gentle and a brief telephone interview with a quiet tone of voice
being sufficient from the last SP providers I have met.
and checking into posts on terb and twitter handles etc is good as well
but as for the safety of the providers using backpage and the likes of craigslist etc they have to be more careful
I do not use backpage or other newspaper type of ads for my safety as well .....I only use well known independants or well known MP establishments

I wish that agencies screened. While in Toronto, I worked for an agency that I did outcalls. They did not screen. I was pissed. I remember yelling at the agency owner (who is likely a member of this board) infront of another girl in his car that it was me that was risking my life whenever I walked into a hotel room or opened a door. Not him. To be honest, I would say that most (not all) agencies in Toronto are run by people that have shady real lives, and really don't have any business skills whatsoever.

I used an agency because I was going to school at the same time and didn't have the time to invest in becoming an independent provider, but for the girls reading this, if you want to be safe, I would rely on yourself. You may think that an agency is looking out for you, but they probably aren't. This is a generalization that I may be attacked on, but I am going to say it.

    Screen, screen, screen.

There was also that Filipino lady nanny who was moonlighting as an escort to augment her income. Found murdered in a hotel room. Many Filipinos send the money they make here back home to their families. So sad.

Ladies, be careful out there. It takes only one bad date to ruin your life.

Actually, after having so many shitty backpage experiences over the past few months, I have started using agencies exclusively. It is so refreshing finally dealing with professional SP's instead of the indy's that care little to nothing about customer satisfaction. I would never provide references to see an SP unless she was super, super hot. Some of us have personal lives which, just like SP's, we should be entitled to keep private.

I see your point too mb, which is why i screen but not too intensely. enough so that i feel safe but not enough to 'out' you

Your shitty experiences with BP indies is no reflection on reputable and upscale indies. Caveat emptor and 'you get what you pay for' applies when dealing with BP, generally-speaking, although if you cherry pick on BP, you will see that some reputable and upscale indies advertise there too.

Hmmmm, you've got me interested. Might I inquire who some of them are? You can PM me a few names if you like. I'd appreciate it.

I should have clarified. I wasn't as concerned about in-calls because that was my domain. I was concerned about out-calls.

The agency didn't even get the guy's name, and call through to the hotel to find out if he actually was who he said he was. Even that can't guarantee safety, but anyone who is willing to offer their real name in a 3.5 star+ hotel is likely not going to murder me
