Good win tonight without Lowry. Vanvleet did an outstanding job backing up Cory Jo.
On a side note, Chris Paul is out 6-8 weeks. There is a very good chance the Raps could get a mid-teens pick this draft. This upcoming draft is deep and stacked. We could wind up with a potential all-star if we don't trade the Clipper pick.

Any team would have to gut their roster in order to make salaries match .. He also has a trade kicker in his contract ie if Knicks trade him his salary will jump up a percentage .. He is becoming the Knicks version of
Baragani .. Overpaid and a soap opera in the locker room .
The great thing about the NBA is only 2 years left on Carmelo's contract .... Unlike the NHL when you sign a player your often stuck with a contract for 8 years sometimes .
Watch out for those upstart 76ers tonight especially on a back end. They've upped their level in January to where they can scare you if you're not ready. I'd thought they'd rest DD tonight so we'll see if they do. Look for KLo to go off tonight!

Joel Embiid was worth the wait for 76ers fans ... I guess they just hope he stays healthy and this jinx of injuires goes away ..

And staying away from injuries has finally caught up with these guys. Good to see Sully on the court but also obvious he's two games away from being two games ready y'all :bump2:. I don't think he'll be 100% till after the break. But losing BeBe and DC for any amount of time is a problem, like last night. That was a stinker last night. Not a great way to get the second half underway. Let's make sure the Hornets get their due domani sera!

Hey the Cavs had a nail bitter against the 76ers 102-101 and so you can sleep on the 76er's .... This 76ers team when Joel Embiid plays is quite different then the games he doesn't play ... It is like night and day stat wise ..
It happened again..! Two like this becomes disconcerting especially considering the opposition. They'd better be better on Sunday else the allstar break won't come soon enuff!
Back to the drawing board! These dog days of January really suck! Not ready for prime time is the verdict again. This losing thing has a chance of going long! Sched before allstar break is now filled with trouble starting with Spurs domani sera. Breakdown seems to be across the board which is truly disconcerting! Patterson seems to have been a bigger loss than anticipated while Sully is still trying to get some fitness back. Rooks have hit the mid season wall while vets have been mistake prone. Looks like the season is gonna be decided here and soon.
I went to the game yesterday. I was worried we would be short the same list of injured players and take another loss. Fortunately I saw Bebe and Carroll on the floor shooting....big relief. We led for most of the game, and Bebe was awesome to start the game. Unfortunately he faded as did the shooting of raps across the board. I was hoping we just needed another game to get these injured players back in rythm but as gfelover points out we got San Antonio coming next!!!
It does seem like a lot of teams have hit a wall at this time of year. We really should have won that San Antonio game last night. I thought it was a write off from the beginning until I heard they were more depleted than we are. And we were at home. Let's hope the raps get their second wind, and they go on another long stretch of 700 ball to finish the regular season. And who knows, even though, Sully looks good, lets see if there is a deal out there that makes us better. For god's sake Lebron is whining about bringing in another play maker????
