I think that Raptors may be in trouble going-forward because of:

1. Cleveland and LeBron James which is obvious
2. A Boston team who has the 1st pick overall in the 2017 NBA Draft and a definite lottery pick in the 2018 NBA Draft to add to their young core who is getting experience under their belt
3. A Milwaukee team who's roster remains intact and will have another year to mature. Plus, the addition of a very talented Jabari Parker who the Raps were fortunate not to face in their recent playoff series.
4. Kyle Lowry to Philly. It may not be the coming season but it is inevitable that the 76ers become a better team than the Raps. They have a plethora of talent and will add another lottery pick this year. They also own Sacramento's unprotected 2018 1st round pick.

I think the best of the Raps are behind them. I seriously hope I am wrong but it just seems like that to me.

I think you're right. Also, the problem is that our "Franchise Player" while still young, is just a pretty limited player who scores 2-pointers and shoots free throws and that's about it. Not much of a defender and no 3-point shot.

Ibaka wasn't that impressive to me down the stretch, I've heard rumors they are going to give him $20 mil a year. Gross.

Also, JV is what he is, I don't see him getting much better.

I have hope for Delon Wright, Norman Powell and Poeltl though, good upside on those guys, I like what I saw this year.

I am confident that DeRozan will be shooting 3 pointers at 33%+ next year. He is focusing on this in the off season and I know he will come through. What I am concerned with is that this may not be enough.

Ibaka does not have that fluidity to his game for the new NBA. Would prefer someone like Nerns Noel or Clint Cappella who runs the floor much better.

Dejounte Murray, Kyle Anderson and a 1st. I'd do it.

Murray is going to be a solid starter in this league. Huge upside! Murray has an incredible basketball IQ, court vision, and will be a solid contributor as an unselfish role player.
After watching another GS/SA game, I'd jump on this too, but would San Antonio want to part with all this potential for Kyle Lowry?

I like what Pop did for Manu by allowing him to start what is probably his last game as a Spur.

I love listening to Van Gundy commentate. He is hilarious at times. He loves Ginobili, and the one thing that struck me is that he referred to him as the classiest player in the league. He's never embarrassed a teammate nor an opponent. True. Can't see him every dancing after a big bucket or celebrating over the top in an opponents face.

really don't see the Spurs signing Lowery to a max contract thus sign and trade unlikely with the Spurs. Philly probably different, it will be money that gets Lowery to Philly and that may be where the Raps get some decent young players or picks. Bosh got the Raps 2 first rounders and a trade exception.
Does anyone think the Raps will offer Lowery a maximum contract? I don't!

I think the Raps should put a figure on the table and tell him if you are offered more out there then we will shake your hand and thank you for your years of service . Let somebody else pull a Orlando Magic ie signing Biz to 17 plus million or pull a Toronto Raptor ie sign a Carol . Lowry seems like a great guy if a team is winning but not if a team is losing .

I think the Raptors will offer Lowry 60 million over 3 years. Something tells me Philly makes the strongest offer but it's not a max contract. Brian Colangelo knows full well that there is not another team in the league that would offer Lowry a max contract so why would he bid against himself?

$20 to $25 million a year is what we will offer IMHO.

$20 million a year is what the Raptors will offer.

Agreed. Kyle will take less than max to go to San Antonio or max money to play in Philly. Either way we start collecting young guys and picks to start a rebuild. Well maybe not a rebuild but a reno..... I think if you gave Demar one or two outside shooters to spread the floor and a presence under the basket he could do some damage.

I think with Lebron on the scene the goal is to just look competitive so that people want to play for the raptors.

I do think Lowry will want to cash in as much as possible this summer .. His previous salaries were 6 million a year and 12 million .. That isn't exactly a large sum of money in today's NBA landscape .

.@Raptors acquire a future second-round draft pick from Orlando in exchange for the contractual release of Jeff Weltman. #WeTheNorth

Nando de colo can score, but his defense is a huge liability.

if Lowery goes elsewhere, and it looks like he may, Jeff Teague is an UFA. 28 years old, experienced, can move the ball, and will probably cost a lot less to sign than Lowery. Probably not the leadership Lowery brings but he played in 82 games this year, something Raps have not seen from Kyle. Add a couple of guys that can throw up and hit 3's, hang on to Tucker, look for improved performances from the youngsters, and they should be competitive.

Hope GSW beat the Cavs.

But I expect the next game will be closer because the number of TOs by the Cavs was irregular.
